After purchasing the polished SS version of this bowie, I patiently waited for the Damascus version to go on-sale. My patience was eventually rewarded and I am thrilled with this knife. I'm not downgrading it on edge because any blade enthusiast should know how to grind, sharpen, and hone their own blades, especially non-stainless blades prone to rust. This one goes on display next to it's shiny twin. Thanks Hibben knives, and thanks BUDK!

I got the knife when it was full price, and still think its worth it - get it while its on sale - awesome knife, great feel, balance, and strong. Doesn't come very sharp but over all a great knife.

This knife is awesome. The Damascus is beautiful and solid. Well worth the price (grab it while the price is cheap). The knife is worth way more than the closeout price. The ONLY reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because it doesn't come sharp at all. Otherwise I would have given it 5 stars hands down! I will buy a Gil Hibben blade any day. Shipping was great. Thanks BUDK!
