This United Edge machete offers a thick, full-tang, all-black 18" beast of a blade that not only looks mean, but it can take a beating and not lose its edge. Surprisingly well made! The handle feels very comfortable and the blade itself is durable. The saw edge on the back is sharp and crossed/ patterned in a way that makes it an effective saw. It will need some sharpening to get the blade 'razor' sharp, but still a great product and worth buying.Would you recommend this to a friend? Yes

I highly recommend this machete. The blade sharpens nicely and holds an edge decently well. The D-handle is great and it doesn't make using the saw blade difficult. The handle is solidly attached and it's not showing any signs of loosening.Would you recommend this to a friend? Yes

I bought one of these as much for a bug out bag as wanting one for around the house. Carrying it on the hip is not going to be an option as I personally would be a bit bothered by this piece of steel hanging down my leg, but that is my preference, and nothing against the blade. Immediately fresh out of the box, I took it to my shop and began to punish it harshly just to see how it would hold up. It performed amazingly! While not a heavy blade over all, it has the weight it needs where it needs to be for chopping. I even tested the saw on a 2x4. It performed admirably. I would feel safe now removing my axe from my go bag.
