This is a heavily flawed sword. But even with it's flaws I really like this sword,It's balanced well, the weight is good, and I love the wide blade,it is a broad-sword.Now for the flaws, first 420 stainless steel is NOT sword steel,420 is to soft it's a forgiving steel witch means it bends easally and won't spring back,420 will tear and rip the steel.Next the handle is NOT wood it's plastic, there has been problems with the tang rattling in the handle it's because of the plastic scales attached to the tang,I removed the handle and made a new one out of solid oak,it's just beautiful.I whould not recommend doing this unless you have training in the field of sword repair, meaning hilt and blade, you can't work on one without handling the other, and I do repair torn and broken blades, you know what I mean if you throw knifes, you have to be able to repair your throwing knife blades.Because of these flaws I could only give three stars, even with the flaws I like this sword,I really love my precision katana with the oak handle you would to I have recieved alot of complements, the sword I couldn't sell before is wanted by most who see and handle the sword.one more thing, when I made the oak handle I routerd out the end of the handle and smelted in lead for perfect balance.Thank you, your friend Daniel V.Would you recommend this to a friend? Yes
