M48 Kommando Survival Axe
The M48 Survival Axe is the perfect companion for hiking and camping. With a 37" overall length, it's great as a walking staff while camping. A cast 2Cr13 stainless steel blade is razor-sharp and can chop through saplings with ease. A 30% fiberglass handle is nearly indestructible and the axe head is attached to it with three separate metal bolts. Includes a snap-on rubberize blade cover for when not in use for cutting.

Im a big fan of M48 Kommando, they can always be trusted to make bada** weapons. The M48 Kommando Axe is, in my opinion very light for a full size axe and extremely tough. And its bada**.Would you recommend this to a friend? Yes

I was really hoping for a bigger blade. The Head is pretty much a heavier version of the tomahawk, without the spike, and the blade is shaped a little different. It's definitely a hardcore axe, but I really hope united cutlery starts making the blade bigger.Would you recommend this to a friend? Yes

If you're thinking about getting an M48 Ax, do it. You will not be disappointed. I just got mine today, and it's everything I thought it would be. It feels heavy duty in the hands, and feels like it can take a beating. The blade cover locks onto the blade nicely, so you don't have to worry about cutting your hand if you use it as a walking stick. It's nice and long too, I'm 6 foot 8 and I can use it as a walking stick without having to lean forward. Hurry and get one before it sells out.Would you recommend this to a friend? Yes

Just got my M48 Survival Axe yesterday 6/5/12,which I have renamed "Walking Hawk". The quality far exceeded my expectations. Can't wait to field test it. Will give update after, If you can get your hands on one or even back order it, don't wait,get one now!

I got a couple of these in just before they were back ordered. One of them was for one of my customers. It is an excellent companion to the M48 Tomahawk sold on this very site. I was impressed enough to add the second one of these I ordered to my personal collection. A must have! I love the solid construction this thing has from the 2Cr13 stainless steel head to the nearly indestructible fiberglass handle. This is an awesome piece of work!Would you recommend this to a friend? Yes
