This is an excellent hatchet with a good strong sheath, although I paracorded mine to the sheath in case the snap on the sheath comes undone and the thing tries to get lost where I will never find it. I find that a hatchet and a smaller knife is more useful than a big knife. This hatchet is full-sized, but not too heavy.
