Blade is rather sharp. Not "razor sharp" by any means. And the steel is not nearly as folded as in the pictures. The habaki is marred on one side due to the saya not properly fitting. But otherwise, well balanced and a rather nice blade for the price.Would you recommend this to a friend? Yes

I wanted a Katana to match my Wakizashi and Tanto. This one is a perfect match. It's a beautiful blade with a simple but attractive Tsuba and fittings. I really like the leather wrapping on the handle. It gives a better feel than cotton to me. Balance is great and it feels very good in my hands. Mine has the gold dragon in the proper place for right handed edge up carry. The Minuki are properly placed for palm contact too. I am very pleased with it and highly recommend it to anyone who wants a quality sword at a reasonable price.

The Yoru Doragon is a great katana for a great price. The only thing I don?t like is the dragon on the scabbard is upside down if you display, hold or carry this katana in a traditional way ( blade up always ), I like the traditional mounting of the menukis (in the palm side ) that this katana has, not the new for looks gyaku menuki ("reverse menuki" on the finger tip side) that most new katanas have. The traditional mounting makes for a great pistol grip feel. The blade sharpness is alright, I guess. I have gotten sharper for much cheaper. But over all the look and feel of this katana is great.

The sword is well made and overall I really like but it should be noted that this is a left handed sword when held right handed the menuki are directly below the hands and can become uncofortable also the scabbard has a dragon decoration that ends up on the inside when worn properly at the waist by someone who is right handed the tsuba is a little small and can be awkward the only other thing was that my blade has a slight bend in it I don't think this is common so there is probably nothing to worry about with it despite all of this I think overall the sword is beautiful and well made and would recommend this sword and this brand to others.
