I was very surprised of the quality and craftsmanship of this knife. I must admit I was skeptical but when I opened the box and examined it for the first time I was very impressed. Truly a knife that could be displayed in any collection.Would you recommend this to a friend? Yes

Don't let the price fool you, this is a very nice knife! When the knife arrived, I was instantly impressed at the quality of the imitation mother of pearl handle. It had a nice polished finish, but wasn't too shiny. The blade had a nice finish as well as a nice etching. Out of the box, this knife was already pretty sharp, so putting a good edge on this blade should be possible, but I have not tried it as of yet since I was satisfied with it as is. The knife will require a little breaking in, as when opening, it does hang a little when attempting to engage the lock, but this is to be expected in a new knife, and aside from this, the action is nice and crisp. In the end, I decided that this knife wasn't the best daily carry for me, as I found that I became too used to the one handed opening stud that most of my previous knives have had, but if you do not care about this feature in an EDC, then I would highly recommend this knife.Would you recommend this to a friend? Reviewed by firebug001 from Leesville LA. on 12-Jul-2012good knife, ok fit & finish

very good knife for the money. comes sharpened to a point, but use a diamond stone and it becomes razor sharp. tip is very well suited for stabbing and once sharpened, will cut a pear in half in mid-air. my only problem is that the handle scales on mine dont quite fit in the cut out in the handle and there is a slight line where you can see the epoxy used to hold the scales on. also there is a medium sized gap along one side of the lock on the spine of the knife as if the knife wasnt compressed enough when the pins were inserted in the handle. other than this, this is a fantastic knife and i ordered the imitation abalone with damascus blade a while ago so it should come in tomorrow. however i didnt get a tracking number for that order which is making me wonder when i will recieve that order, but oh well. all in all a great knife with some small fit and finish problemsWould you recommend this to a friend? Like the Rainbow Warrior, this stiletto looks great on the desk. But compared to modern designs like Cold Steel's Tri-Lites (which BUD K has)it is best seen as a desk decoration. Collectors should keep in mind that although Kissing Crane has been around since 1834, it is doubtful that they have always made knives in China. It is a nice looking econo blade.
