I've had this knife for a couple days now and let me tell you, this knife is a classic hunting knife. And actually, the what you call the "Big Brother" is the Buck 120 general which was actually used in the SCREAM movies. But the 119 is the best quality knife I've ever owned,it's honed sharp to perfection with slicing, thrashing and thrusting.Overall a good quality and sharp knife.Would you recommend this to a friend? Yes

This Buck is an all around, top quality sheath knife and oozes with superb workmanship for a production knife. Fit and finish is beautiful! The blade stays sharp and the sheath is high quality thick leather and both knife and sheath will last two lifetimes, one for you and one for your son/daughter if you use and take care of this knife properly. Yes, it's more expensive but you get every penny's worth and more so bite the bullet and buy one, you will then know that I don't lie, guy.

Awesome knife. Already intimidating! Great for hunting, camping, and just defense. Love the little "club" on the handle. The handle is great also. Overall- great knife- must have! Sheath is o.k. Could be better. And the price could be lower. Saw one at a store for $40.00. But still, great knife.

I love collecting weapons of all kinds and one day me and my dad went to academy and bought two of these but of course budk had them like always and this knife is perfect I never really say a knife is perfect but its made in America which tell you pretty much everything right there the review says beautifully balanced and it is absolutely right you can put your finger below the hand guard and watch it balance itself out I thought with its super thick blade it would fall quick and stab my foot but its perfect also why the h**l would you split wood with a freaking knife Joshua I would recommend an axe rather than a special edition hunter knife, whatever my favorite knife out of all 400 razor sharp hunter/tactical knife BUY IT NOW.

This knife is a great knife and tool. Great for a skinning or fillet knife, don't let its size get in the way of its POWER just like all other buck knives.

I've actually had two of these before; both I ended up selling for financial and safety reasons, but I'm considering buying a third. I've had countless other knives but none compare. The 119 is also one of the few affordable knives you'll find that is still made in the USA. The only thing, BudK needs to get it's pricing right. Editor's Note: Thank you for your comments. This knife is made out of 440 steel, which is good with rust resistance. This knife will not rust if taken care of properly, 440 steel is one of the best stainless steels out there, but, being stainless, do NOT do heavy tasks with this knife, I have had it chip 2 times from hacking at hard wood saplings in cold weather, Overall, this is a good hunting knife that will not rust if taken care of properly. i have soooo many hunting knives and this is no doubt the best and my favorite, it is the perfect weight the edge was so sharp that it made me flinch and the sheath was very well made the picture did the knife no justice because it is so much sharper and a lot pointier than it looks in the picture.
