The Smith & Wesson baton series is constructed of 4130 seamless alloy steel tubing with a hardness of HRD46-47. The handle grip is made of thermoplastic polyester elastomer with a basket weave pattern for excellent grip in all conditions. This bone crushing baton extends to a whopping 21" overall and is only 8 1/4" not expanded. Includes black denier hard case sheath. Smith

A lot heavier than I thought. Easy to open. A good length easy to conceal. Difficult to close. My wife yelled at me for banging it closed on the floor. Should close using a hard concrete surface.Would you recommend this to a friend? Yes

Just received my S&W Baton and it has a solid feel with some weight to it unlike some inexpensive models that are too lightweight to be effective. I like the way it easily locks into place once deployed. Also the rubber grip is comfortable and non-slip. I am pleased with purchasing this product.
