This United Cutlery Ikazuchi Gentleman's sword cane offers exquisite details not found in cheap knock offs. The 14" 1045 carbon steel blade offers 2048 layers that have been heat-forged by sword masters to yield a razor-sharp, double-edged blade for maximum cutting. This superior blade has Rockwell hardness between 36-42 HRC. The inner steel is 1061 high carbon. The hardwood ball-tip cane handle offers superior support while an exquisite leather-and-ray-skin wrapped blade handle allows the blade to be wielded in comfort and style. Great product! The release mechanism is easy to use, the blade is very very sharp and flexes nicely. People have asked to look at it and have commented how beautiful it is without even realizing its a weapon. Replaced the cheap rubber tip with a real one, and now I use it everyday as my normal walking cane. The release mechanism is almost center on the cane and could be a possible breaking point if too much pressure is applied.
