Better than expected. Beautiful piece to round out my collection of some 130 knives swords and daggers. My only problem is I've purchased most of what I like. Wish there were more new items to choose from. Have ordered from five major outlets, and BudK is the best out there in prices, service, and selection. Thanks BudK for all of your super deals.Would you recommend this to a friend? Yes

I ordered two of the silver Rapiers to mount on a wall plaque that I made. The Rapiers seem to be well made except that one squeaks when I move it around. Since I am mounting it on the wall that squeakiness doesn't matter. The hand guard is a bit bigger then I expected, but it looks nice on the wall and feels very nice in the hand. I would very much so recommend this sword to others and other swords from BudK. This is the second type of sword I have ordered from Budk and will be a repeat customer.

The workmanship of this one is mediocre but for the price not too bad. Certainly heavy and deadly, and long. I ordered this as a ceremonial sword for my second wedding. For some reason the shipping company sent it to my ex-wife's house. So now she gets a sword and she doesnt know why. Shipping company I admire your inclination in exwife relations but you didnt do anything good for me there. I was able to retrieve it and cut the cake at the wedding with it. It was too long to really wear in the end. Payment and shipping were cumbersome to say the least.

not as exclusive as the site would have you believe. As for the sword, it is not full tang, which for someone like me who does live steel fighting, that's a pretty big down. However, this sword is pretty sturdy for what it is. The blade is nice and whippy, like any good rapier should be. In the end, it's no Toledo steel, but it's a very nice start to a collection of weapons for anyone interested in the live steel fighting industry. Editor's Note: Thank you for your comments. I personally do not own this weapon, but, 3 of my friends do, and I have used the swords they bought in rapier tournaments. I will say, this weapon, though less than $100, is incredible in quality, and functionality. And, even after a 20 minute dual, it still received minimal scratches, ,and no dents in the blade. I was highly impressed, and loved every minute of using this weapon.

This sword appears to be well made. Very solid, and larger than I expected. The grip is approximately 4", and the wire basket/guard is 8" long by 6" across. The blade has a "flex" to it which is normal for a rapier style. The black leather sheath is well made and sturdy, but there is no hook or notch for mounting. The picture is an excellent representation of it. A little off balance, but I don't think you are going to use it for dueling. Right???
