Suggest 25 grains blackpowder or Pyrodex followed with 10 grains dry cream of wheat a lubes wad then .454 ball. Pinch # 11 caps or upgrade to Treso or slix shots nipples smooth hammer surfaces with 600 to 1000 grit sandpaper lightly watch a video or take to a gunsmith an you'll have a shooter for many years. Don't forget to get yours at BudK. I also added pearl an gold leaf with Indian head penny grips. I live mine an will continue to be a customer of BudK.

Great product! I bought two. "His & hers" primers are hard to find but that won't last. Other than that, had to adjust my front site a bit, and file the loading lever a little., My wife's was fine for her right out of the box. And about Budk..., they're awesome to, very personal.
