This emergency flashlight offers a built-in squeeze dynamo to power the flashlight. Just squeeze the dynamo like a hand-crank on the sides to charge up the power of the battery. The long lasting LEDs will last for up to 50,000 hours. The three LEDs are ultrawhite and are remarkably bright. It's great for camping, automotive, boating and emergencies. Includes nylon lanyard.

This is a fantastic light using a squeeze lever to crank the power, what took so long for such a simple idea to come around!
I got one of these flashlights. It was five dollars when I got mine. It works great. I did look at the other reviews. Those comments ranged from "lifesaver" to "piece of junk". My thoughts were that such varying opinions meant that I needed to form my own opinion, and it was worth five dollars to me just to check things out. Its a great little flashlight. It's made out of plastic, so it can't be torture tested - but if treated with just a bit of care performs quite well. As one person said, the beam has a total effective range of about 30 feet with the first 15 feet being what I would call usable. The dynamo charges easily and quickly with a few squeezes of the lever. That charge stays in place quite well. I gave mine a half dozen squeezes to get things bright and set it aside. No apparent loss of stored energy after a month on the shelf. No batteries needed. Built in manual recharging. Long life LED's. Compact and lightweight. What's not to like? I would suggest that you check each one for proper functioning before putting it in your emergency supplies, but emergency equipment should always be checked out before packing away anyway. So, it isn't built like a tank and you can't treat it like one, but I'm going to get a couple more with my next order.
It feels cheap, that is because it is cheap, but it works. I just ordered more because it is a good deal in my opinion. If you are on the fence, just buy it. You will be glad you did.
When batteries become scarce, this light will be worth its weight in gold. Especially if we get an emp and you have them in farraday storage. I just ordered 5 more. $3 is stupid cheap.
Good price. Very practical. Save money by purchasing them singly rather than as a pack of three, but still a good price. even for $9.99!
I would like to say that these hand cranked lights have gotten me through the hurricane in Florida by not needing battery power They got me through, I have 6 or more and I am planning to get more.I now how important they are when I lost my power and I had one in every room and when my candles burnt out they helped me find more candles and other safety items I needed that I could of never found without this amazing light.
The plastic body feels a bit cheap, but it has a pretty decent amount of light coming out of a little flashlight that sells for $2.99. This can be stored up in a survival kit, since it never needs batteries, and with LED bulbs, it will always be ready to go. I would recommend this.
this flashlight is a very nice product! If the light goes bad, all you have to do is simply release a pump and pump some juice into it. 5 out of 5
Just got 3 of these. Brighter than expected, & they stay lit even when not working the dynamo. Also like how the case is translucent so you can see the inner workings.
I read the reviews before buying this and got lucky with the product I received. I've been using this for a week now and everything is fine. On a pitch black night in the woods it will throw the beam out about 30 feet, the first 15 being the most usable. It's small, light, and rechargeable and is a nice backup. So far it holds a charge very well.
I was surprised how muck light it puts out. This thing will not light up the night but close quarters it works great. I do not have to worry about the batteries going bad!
I bought one a month or so ago & have used it nearly every day. So far, so good. Although it's only used a minute or two a day (for the most part), it is still holding a charge. I have used the charging lever, but it really hasn't been necessary. Maybe I lucked out with this one, but I just ordered four more! It works & is cheaper than batteries.
I have one and will most likely get another .Small but very bright easy to charge . Well worth it at this price . Buy it you'll like it.
This is a real nice flashlight that is of good quality. Although rectangular, it shines a circle in the dark. Amazing. I bought 4 for my family. Will buy more now to give as gifts now that I see how nice they are.
This little thing is great for the money. Each person has one in their bag. Of course spares also, light weight, no batteries, just enough light to get by.
This little light surprises the hell out of me. Very bright, small, light weight and the price is right. Don't know how long it will last with everyday use but I did not buy it with that kind of abuse in mind. Ordering a 2nd light to add to B.O.B.
bought three of them one for car one for storm shelter one for home, they all work great and very bright. THANK YOU BUDK.
I like it! It's light weight, easier to charge than the crank type. Holds the charge long. Have several for myself and bought a bunch for Christmas stocking stuffing. It's a simple useful device.
bought 4 of these. 2 for bugout bags. 2 for glove compartment in car. going to order more and give to kids in neighborhood to carry to bus stop and school. going to carry one when hunting.
I bought one of these flashlights and loved it and turned around and bought two more for our vehicles. Very handy. Great product.
Bought 1 initially, after seeing how well it works I bought 3 more, one for camping, 1 for emergencies, 1 for grins, and 1 in case another one broke. One of the handiest little lites I've used - great for working inside a computer when not quite enough light. Great for the price
If you don't have it, buy it! This is absolutely a must have in any situation, even in the house, if there's a blackout, or maybe you just need to find that porn magazine you've been hiding under your bed...it's very small, barely fits in your hand, but it's very handy, don't need batteries, you can't beat that... I don't know if it's waterproof though, I might have to buy a few more to test them, for this price it's totally worth it!
Have not tried to see how long it will last but for a quick peek into a computer while fixing it, or for looking for that small bolt that fell behind the fridge (along with the 24" extender) it worked great. No more buying batteries for LED lites. I'm getting a few more of these eventually.
I gave one to 3 other people in the family after I bought 4 of them. I owned squeezers that had to be continually squeezed to work. these stay ready for over a month. Awesome
I haven't used them very long, but so far they are working as advertised. I like the squeeze grip and the fact that it locks into the handle, out of the way. It is wonderful that you do not have to change batteries. I bought four of them for my "Bug Out Bag"; can't go wrong on the price!
The squeeze grip to recharge was a great design feature. It's small, but provides adequate light. The lanyard was kinda unneeded, but you never know. Got one in each car, motorcycle and with the emergency gear. Not having to worry about checking and replacing batteries is great. At this price, it's just dumb not picking up a few.
I bought a few of these a few years ago. What did I expect for 3 bucks? Not much. These flashlights are not for long distance to be sure, but for lighting up a dark house or room, a camping tent, or a path at night, they are indeed adequate. All 3 worked right out of the box and are still going 4yrs later. At 3 bucks, I bought more. They aren't used often, but they work first time each time. I have one in each vehicle for emergencies and a few around the house. I bought some more and gave them to friends who are also happy with them. The really nice item is that they don't need batteries - ergo no corrosion in storage, no battery clutter, and no dead light due to dead batteries! For a measly $3, you just cannot go wrong. Stop reading and just buy some!
This is a very nice flashlight. It is just a 3 led flashlight and it is very very bright? The awsome thing is that it doesn't need any batteries! If I were you I would by it now
Very handy item and portable. My son just loves it! Fits in his pocket easy and great price.
What I like best is it's compact to fit in your pocket or purse, has good beam for size, and easy to charge battery with palm squeeze. I ended up reordering a few more.
Great little lights. Bought two and the both work great. I did notice the dynamo lever sticking on one light, as other reviewers have mentioned, but I was able to overcome this by giving the lever a faster release after squeezing in. It seems like the spring on the lever cannot always overcome the friction of the gears so allowing the lever to spring open on its own instead of slowly releasing it seems to help. Overall, especially for the price, there is nothing to complain about. Light is well focused and has a great distance for such a small light.
Very surprised! I added one of these to my order and couldn't believe how nice it is for $3 bucks, you can't beat it. I would spend more than that on a pack of AA batteries and this works great. It came wound up with a charge and is so simple to generate more power. I am getting 5 more as they will be perfect when the power goes out.
This is a 3$ no battery required led flashlight. I bought 3. I put one in each car and one in the main fallout bag. I haven't tested them too much (maybe 30 mins each) Im saving their working abilities, however extensive, for an emergency situation. Id say buy one if you're interested, then buy more once satisfied. It'll cost you less than a fast food value meal, and last longer. So you don't have much to lose
Not to large, great for glove box of car or desk drawer. Bright light & charges easily. Worth the few $.
Awesome buy. It does make noise, but it also holds a "charge" for quite a while. Bright as h**l. Doing some testing with these and the LED Headlamps soon.
It is fun to crank, honestly. Very bright for its size, and a great addition to my collection of survival gear!
The 3-LED Dynamo Hand Crank Flashlight is the perfect addition to anybody's bug-out bag. Compact and works great!! Highly recommend!
Excellent product that works well. It is lightweight and holds a charge for 45 minutes with only a few hand cranks. Highly recommend to have on hand for emergencies on in a bug out bag.
I have ordered several of these and they work well but I have received a couple duds. I would check the flashlight out to be sure they work just in case you might really need it.
I got 2 of these and checked them out tonight. 1. charges fast 2-3 pumps 2. A bit light weight but will work for camping or emergencies. 3.I used them outside of my house and they were great for about 8-10 feet and I could see about 30 feet or so, but just enough to walk not to find some thing I dropped or to see a animal (might see a shadow but would not now what it was). 4 Has 3 led lights in a row but all are focused to one spot and it is round light like a flashlight. 5 I will buy some more for camping or emergencies but will try to get them buy one get one (bogo) or free shipping but for 2.99 its a fair price but don't drop them they might brake.
A lot of the things you get from BudK for less than $5 tend not to be worth 5 cents. This does seem to do its job though. I've needed it a couple of times and it has worked well so far, though it does feel fragile and I don't feel comfortable handling it unless I have to. Worth having in the bedroom or in the car.
Bought three of these for emergency lights in the car and kitchen. Work great. Probably won't last forever, but that's not what I bought them for. At this price they're cheaper than batteries.
Not a bad light for the money. Daughter is keeping it in her truck, never remembered to change batteries on the flashlight she had. Not a problem now....
I bought two of these and they work fine. Planned on keeping them for emergencies. Then I bought a third, but it didn't work. It dimly lit while "charging" but there was clearly no battery charge to illuminate the light and it did not turn on no matter what. BudK replaced it without any hassle, and the replacement works fine, so I guess 3 out of 4 worked is more appropriate.
Not bad for $3, it does what it says, hand crank works well but do not expect a lot of light from it while cranking but it does work!!
Great lil item, cant beet the price. Have one for both my car and my wife's. Simple little flash light, and the best thing NO batteries. Great for emergencies, and camping.
These are great for emergency light, the three small led's with its prism lens shines bright enough to see where you're going in the dark. no batteries needed! Only gripe is no paper instructions on use or how long they hold charge, so far ive used it all day with not having to pump it to recharge.
ok read the reviews, bought 8 with free shipping for stocking stuffers. All 8 light and charge. 5 worked straight out of box no issues, 1 crank was sticky and has a more grind feel, goes in, doesn't come out with out help, but worked itself out and seems normal now. 1 more has crank issues as above but seems to be permanent. last one really sticks and grinds badly. I'll keep the 3 betting they will work at some level and get me through an outage or two. They may surprise me. This are not what I would call a durable light but if you keep them out of harms way I think they would have a place for emergency light. At the price I paid it was definitely worth it and about what I expected after reading the reviews. These shouldn't be your primary light, but use them up before you break out the real ones
Great little stocking stuffers. Safe for the little ones to use, no batteries needed.
I saw these and thought they would be great little flashlights to keep in the car, in the house, and to give to my grand sons (because they won't have to spend money on batteries). I ended up buying 11 of them to make sure everyone got one. I haven't used mine much (and haven't given the others as gifts, yet), but it seems to work just fine. It is not terribly bright, but is enough to use in the yard at night or during a power outage. There are other style of battery free flashlights, but this was the first I saw where you didn't have to crank or shake it. They may not last forever, and in reading some of the other reviews, they may have some problem, but mine is still working after a month or so, and for the price, it is a good value.
I had one and forgot about it. It malfunctioned. They have to be cranked once in a while. Keep it handy and take care of it. I'm getting some more for my bugout bags, and will remember to rotate them. For the price, they're great.
It's smaller than it looks, and only has 3 LEDs, but it is great! It makes a bit of noise, like all win-up flashlights do, but it's a terrific value for the item, and a good addition to my bug-out bag.
A very good back up at a great price. Probably the best flash light you could get at this price point. Granted you might find some brighter battery (not much brighter) operated ones for 3 bucks, but it simply won't beat the value of this. The only complaint I have about this is the noise. It reminds me of those rev up toy cars. As for crank vs squeeze, I prefer crank, but squeeze does have the advantage of being able to charge one handed. I highly recommend at least one of these for either your car, bedroom, BOB, etc.
Will the flashlight is kind of flimsy but it does what it's supposed to do without batteries. So I'm giving it three stars
At that price, I didn't expect much, and that's what I got. I bought four to have one in each vehicle. Okay for emergency use, which was the purpose for me. Fairly bright, but continuous pumping is necessary, no carryover between squeezes. However, batteries can't give out, and will give bright emergency light in a pinch.
Recently purchased four of these for myself and some family members. One worked perfectly. As for two through four, they all had an issue with their push lever only coming out half-way. Another one had an issue with the locking mechanism locking when it was pushed out, and one more had battery problems. I fixed the push lever and the locking mechanism, as for the batteries, they seem to be worth more than the flashlight itself. The fixes were fairly easy to fix, but I'm not sure everyone could figure out what's wrong so I'll say buy at your own risk.
I have purchased 7 of these for home, auto, parents, and in-laws. I have to follow up on the others, but already (1 month) one of mine has malfunctioned. The battery has discharged and will not take a charge. The dynamo does appear to be producing. They are bright when they work, but I am not sure how long that will be or if it will work when you need it. Until I am convinced that the malfunction is a fluke, I cannot reccommend these for use in an emergency.
mine worked for abou ta week before it stopped working all together. it will light up while you pump it but no longer holds a charge. not the best buy out there.
It works, but don't play with it. save it for an emergency. With plastic gears and cheap on -off switch I'd use it only when needed. Next time I'll spend a few more dollars and get one that'll last more than one use.
Cheap and not worth spending even a dollar. It stopped working after using it for just one day. No matter how long we pumped the device the light would not stay on.While it worked for the short period the light was good but then all of a sudden it stopped. Don't waste your money.
This little waste of plastic crushed in my hand the first time I tried to use it. The gears popped out,the casing split, and every piece of it went in a different direction. I'm a computer technician, not a Nave Seal; if my grip could could destroy this device without much effort, I hardly believe it's BudK quality.
i bought 2 of them, i thought that hey there neat hand crank lights and i thought that i could use them in an emergency. at first i was pretty happy with them they where bright and affective until a week later they dimed out i couldn't even turn them on anymore one of the top lights poped out and the other one light up for maybey 5 seconds and then completly went out . so i had to keep cranking and cranking for about 5 -6 mins and the light still wouldn't work i was pretty pissed off i couldn't even return them because i threw everything away and didn't keep the box it came in because i thought that they would last . so DONT BUY this its not worth it its a piece of junk
Junk lights, of the 2 I bought one dose not even light up and the other works dim the whole time and crank it all you want it don't help.
