perfect

these blades are amazing the big one is great it opens easily, it fits comfortably in my hand my only complaint is that the small ones liner lock was very stiff and it was hard to open in the first place. but both were very sharp out the box.

good deal

A very good deal, will make good stocking stuffers. Knives work fine. My only complaint is I order several items and the box and items smelled so bad of pesticides I had to leave them in the garage for a week and even then the smell lingered on..

good deal

Ridge Runner Firefighter Rescue Knife

Shipping was fast. Arrived 3 days before due date. Knives were sharp right out of the box. It does say that it is made in China, but still seems to be good quality. It cut paper right out of the box. I put a little gun oil on it to loosen it up a bit and it worked just fine. Great knife for the price, especially when you get a second one to go with it. If it only says, stainless steel, which it does, it usually means that it is 440A (according to one source). Out of the 440 series 440A is the lowest, 440B is the middle range and 440C is the highest quality. Good all around beat up knife in my opinion, especially for the price. You can't go wrong because even if it breaks, it's not a $200 knife that you have to replace. Very pleased.

Excellent Deal

These are great tools, the seat belt cutter is extra good if you cannot reach your belt strap in an emergency situation and the glass smasher is a no brainer. I really like the tanto style blade and two for one is a great asset if you want to store one in your extra car or truck.

Nice emergency knife duo

Highly functional a decently built. The blades are sharp. The firefighter handle seem a bit silly, but they look good. the assisted open functions well.

Nice emergency knife duo

Nice Product

Bought these on an impulse and glad I did. Keep the larger one in my vehicle and the smaller one I can carry with me. They are sharp. Only downfall is the larger one has a metal imperfection on the handle that is sharp and needed to be filed down.

Nice Product

Great for gifts

Ordered several gifts. They are handy with the one handed opening. The price is right and the knives are better than expected. The ones I have given out the guys like them.

Much Better Than Expected

I bought these for $10 when there was a deal for shipping, and expected an okay pair of pocket knives, but wow, they're surprisingly nice. They look nice, came fairly sharp, and open WONDERFULLY. I don't use the thumb stud at all, but use the bit that sticks out of the other side of the grip. With just a bit of pressure on that, the blade FLIES open, and makes a satisfying sound in doing so. The only complaint is that the larger one, which I've opened hundreds upon hundreds of times, has developed a bit of blade wiggle if I mess with it. I'm sure that I could tighten the screw fairly easily, though. I can't really blame it for getting a bit loose though, considering how fast it comes open, how many times I've opened it, and that it was $10 for BOTH of these knives. I haven't tested the seat-belt cutter or window breaker, but they look alright, and I'll just make the assumption that they work too. Definitely worth the money.

I abused these bad...

O.K, so I bought a couple sets of these to give to some firefighter friends of mine. I had a few left over, and after examining them, I didn't think they were of particularly good quality. (Keep in mind, I'm a police officer and I carry S&W knives. It just didn't feel as hefty to me.) Well, my can opener broke...so I dug out one of the extras I had laying around of these. Its been through absolute hell...the kind of hell I wouldn't put my S&W through, because I'm reasonably sure it'd break. I decided after I'd opened a few cans with it that it was now my personal mission to break the damn thing, so I didn't buy a new can opener. Its been a couple of months now, and I lost track of how many cans I've opened with it. I have to give these knives kudos for being pretty much unbreakable.

Great knife

I bought this is a Father's Day gift for my dad (who is a fireman) and he loves it. He carries it with him almost all the time. The knife is very sturdy and opens cleanly. It made a great gift and I would recommend this to anyone.

Great knife
