Billy Club

This"billy club"would put a hurtin on someone,should you need to use it. Yes,when you first get it,it smells like rubber and since it is rubber,that's what it should smell like! Once you have it awhile,the smell goes away and you have a good self defense item.

Bought as a bogo. These things stunk up my house had to leave them outside in the shed for a month. Other than that these things work great although you probably don't want to use the clip. I used the clip and was black and blue from the club bounce off my leg and hitting me as I walked. Get a holster and you will be fine.

I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the box on this STINKY little beast! It made me laugh out loud when the tire smell came streaming out and punched me in the nose!!! What a hoot! All kidding aside,you will not be disappointed with this durable little smakahI recommend leaving it outside,or in a shed for a least a week,until some of the smell dies down. This is a great product to take along while walking or jogging in the neighborhood,to ward off the occasional stray dog(they seem to be intimidated by the stink too!) Having moved from thePeoples Republicof Massachusetts several years ago,I like to order ANYTHING that can't be shipped there. Buy it!

For the price, a nice club - haven't had a chance to use it yet in an emergency situation - got 4 of them - one for each vehicle and home - leave out in the sun a few days and the rubber smell almost goes away - My only complaint is with BudK CS as I have an issue with them - but this is a good deal especially with BOGO Free

Wow...This is a gnarly, nasty, stinky little Beast!!! I Love it!!!! Someone messing with you sees you whip this out and they will run for their lives...lol. Good tips from other reviewers on how to get rid of the tire smell, but I think it adds to the intimidation factor. (Just kidding...it smells bad, but it will fade eventually like tires) For $10 you can't lose. IDK how someone else who reviewed this broke theirs first day unless they were smacking cinder blocks, which this isn't for. (Try a hammer??) I too will be removing the Stainless Ring/Belt-clip thingy and replace with maybe a para-cord lanyard or similar such means. I will repurpose the SS clip too. Really an awesome little BUD K offering. As far as it's effectiveness...IDK. But I'm sure if a would be attacker saw me with this, if they didn't laugh so hard at it's appearance to where I could subdue them, I'm sure they would reconsider other possible areas of their person to defend against it's power. Embrace and enjoy the freedom we all have to patronize a fun outfit like Bud K people...before we're not allowed to.

I snipped off the belt clip. That looked like a good way to get a nasty pinch. No one wants a nasty pinch while fending off bad guys. Plus, who is going to wear something this phallic on their hip? Yes, it smells. Not forever though. I haven't had to use it yet... (You can tell because I'm writing this review from home and not from jail) but I'm sure it's tough enough to stand many impacts from someone else's face. The nubs might wear off eventually, but if that is the case you should move somewhere less violent.

cool little self defense weapon i got it in the mail not to long ago i tested it out on a canalope it sure enough tore it up like it was nothing... another awesome thing on Budk.... it also fits perfectly in my survival bag (bug out bag)

Great BOGO deal! Placed them in the sun for several days to rid them of the tire smell. I gave one to my daughter for protection on college campus. The other I use while I'm walking my dogs.

The rubber smell is very strong but I'm soaking it and that should work. This is a solid and a brutal weapon. I think if anyone around here would see me with a grip on this thing, they'd back off quick as it's very intimidating. I'm very pleased with it and for the price, you just can't beat it. Just found out that this thing is actually a club....either way, 5 stars.

This is an unusual thing. It's like a cross between a baton and a sjambok. This thing might be the most well designed instrument of mind numbing pain I have ever seen. Don't underestimate those little rubber bumps. Mine did not come with the little Chinese police sticker but the belt clip has Chinese writing. Maybe some official use over there. Less lethal than a baton or tire thumper but MUCH more painful.

Just received my clubs. A great buy on a BOGO deal.I hung them outside to get rid of that new tire smell in the house. Don't let that stop you if you want to own this billy club. Thanks again BudK for another unique product.

Billy club works well and would definitely do its job, but it has no chinese police emblem on it and the "wrap" from the handle up is molded rubber. no wrapping of any kind. 90% rubber

I received my order today. I was some what pleased with this billy club. First the smell the rubber/plastic gives off is horrible. I had to clean mine just so the smell would tone down a little bit. Lastly the billy club seems solid and isn't bad once you get past the smell. I'm sure if I let it air out all will be good. Overall not a bad buy if your thinking about it.

don't buy, stink to high heaven, like cheap rubber....

It broke the first day I got it that are no good at all and they small real bad I do mean bad oh and I did not get another one yet
