Quite happy with the sword. This is not a flimsy sword by any means. It is quite sharp right out of the box. So it has nice weight to it.
An unparalleled bargain. I can't get over the quality of this item for the price...thank you kennesaw for a great deal.
Budk, you are very sneaking offering such a fine sword for such a good price. This was my first sword and If I can get so much sword for so low of a price I am going to have to try some of your higher priced swords to see what they are like. As I said, in the title, Clever Marketing!
Had it a few months now. I purchased it mostly for display purposes. I don't do the water bottle cutting routine sorry. I have no doubts however how wickedly effective this sword would be in actual use. The blade seems good quality and reasonably sharp. I like the Dragon Motif Tsuba, a real high cool factor there. My wife is from Japan and from a town (Aizu City) which is famed for its Samurai history. Its a wonderful way to show some cross cultural pride with such beautiful swords in the home. (The downside being don't make the lady from said Samurai village too mad). Anyway good sword for the money. Yea its made in China like everything else is but a real genuine Japanese made sword in the traditional manner would run into the thousands and we prefer to eat good food and not just Ramen every night. Thanks Bud-K for the great selection of Asian type swords and yes I am definitely planning on that Cold Steel Italian Long Sword. Gotta give some love to my European heritage right?
Very nice sword that's comes sharp out of the box and well made. No loose parts and comes exactly as pictured. Defiantly would recommend.
this sword is well worth the money ive seen swords that cost twice of this one and are worse the fittings on mine are good and was tightly wrapped came really sharp out the box too, overall a great sword you wont regrett it.
The Saya is way to loose at least for my liking. I held the saya and I flipped it so the handle faces the ground and the blade just slips out with no shaking at all. There is no resistance at all. But besides that I love the katana it's amazing. Box needs more ladles the box was super beat up there's a spot on the say where the paint is chipped
Normally you would pay thousands for a sword like this, it's so beautiful as well as sharp. It does not wobble at all, and is VERY sturdy. I am very pleased with this buy and I am very proud of the whole thing. It was not factory made, it was hand made by a swordsmith. So what I think? If you want a good Katana, but this. It's the same thing as a five thousand dollar sword. As I said, very pleased.
I ordered the Red Bushido Musashi- Dragon Fury Battle Ready Katana, The guy told me that they were all of of the Red one but could substitute it for the black one. When I bought it I got it not 2 days later, EXTREME FAST SHIPPING and the service that the merchant provided was beyond amazing. When I got the sword I was very pleased with my purchase, the only thing I wish was that the sword would have been more sharp than it was. Overall it was a terrific buy, and anytime I need to buy a sword, knife, machete anything I will definitely be coming back.
Awesome. Looks nice and cuts plastic jugs, cardboard boxes and oranges to pieces with ease. I really didn't expect to get anything I would be this pleased with at this price point... I found this sword looking for something to train with and try out before committing to a more expensive Katana. This product has far exceeded my expectations. I will continue to practice with this sword while I save up for a higher end model and I intend to get it from this website.
This is A GREAT Item! Feels like its Assembled well. Sturdy and Awesome looking! I Love it! It is Sharp, as it claims to be, and is jus Overall a Great product for the Price!
VERY NICE!
Good feel and balance. the Saya is a real nice deep red
I think if one takes good care of this Katana it will serve them for many years.

I was a little concerned over how Fed Ex allowed the tracking of the box. (I work in logistics and track trucks all over the country) Other then that annoyance I am 100% satisfied!

Thank You True Swords, I will order more.
Well fitted except the Saya is a bit tight. other than that it is perfect and you can't beat the price. I will still rate it at 5 stars.
For it to be my first real sword kept me up in anticipation but when it got here i fell in love with it thank you so much i promise to buy more
I am very pleased with with the quality of this sword. its very comfortable in my hands, perfectly balanced, and VERY SHARP. there is nothing wrong with this sword
A beautiful sword full tang battle ready a great piece to my collection of sharp legit katans great piece and im planning to get another katana great price and great spend.
An excellent and extremely beautiful Katana! No flaws or defects what so ever. Every detail was superb---from the fine and very sharp blade to the tightly wrapped tsuka---just like in the description. I had a hard time picking several Katanas that would start my collection----picked this one and the Dragon Strike w/ black Saya----and I absolutely don't have any regrets what so ever! You'll never go wrong with this Katana!---Almost forgot to mention the extremely fast shipping! Thank you True Swords! You will definitely be getting more orders from me in the future!
Came within a week. Was incredibly sharp, and had flaws. Great but and will definitely continue purchasing from True Swords.
To be honest I do not trust many reviews. A katana can be worth more to some than others. I have purchased around fifteen different Japanese katana's and I can say without doubt this Musashi Sword is a definite for its price. This sword is amazing for $60.00. I would consider myself to be someone whom collects swords but also uses them. More of what you would call a Samurai in its own way. I am skilled with swords and my opinon of this sword still has to be that it is truley a great sword and I love it. It is decently sharp. The saya it comes in is a beautful blood red color. It is very well balanced and has a firm yet comfortable grip. 5/5 rating. Thank you True Swords, and Thank you Meyomoto Musashi a true legend and great swords.
This is a very well made sword for its price. the sword itself feels sturdy. first thing i did is what im pretty sure most people did when they bought their swords: cut up the box with it. i then went i step further and started cutting the tops off of multiple water bottles with one swing. the scabbard is nicely polished but is no where near the color in the image. i highly recommend this sword for anyone who wants a pretty cheap sword.
What can I say. I was amazed. Not only was the shipping extremely fast (two days), I was overwhelmingly impressed with the sword itself. It was in great condition, the blade oiled, and while I would not call it razor sharp, but it definitely had an edge. It easily cut through the fed-ex box and through a gallon jug of water. And the poster wasn't to bad either. ; )
GREAT SWORD! It cut up the box it came in (the brown one not the BEAUTIFUL box the sword comes in) and some thick plastic like butter before i sharpened it. Love the darker color on the its a DARK maroon color rather than the redder color you see. Love the sword, love the color, love the box, love everything. can't wait to cut some more stuff.
This is my first katana from Trueswords, and also my first from Musashi. First off, it shipped within hours after placing my order, and I had it two days later. I have never had an order processed so quickly. I received it today, and it came in a nice Musashi box with a hang tag with pics of all the Musashi tsubas, and Trueswords poster.

About the sword: It came in a black cloth sword bag, which is not specified when ordered, but a great relief, as you will want something to keep the saya in tact. The saya itself is actually a deep, more maroon unlike how it is pictured, which makes the sword that much more appealing. And there were no flaws - no scratches, dings, unpainted spots - whatsoever on the saya.

Onto the handle, the Ito is a nice, soft material beneath your hands, which allows for a comfortable, yet firm grip during practice. The sword as a whole is almost perfectly balanced: just a smidge off, but I highly doubt enough for anybody else to notice.

The blade is indeed well sharpened. I wouldn't say razor sharp, but it cleanly cut through some boxes, and water jugs, the cut smooth and even. You can also tell that some effort was put into forging, as it has a very prominent Hamon. Altogether, the blade is secure, sharp, and simply remarkable. It cuts as well as it looks, which is a rare thing.

The dragon Tsuba resembles that of its Bushido (Shinto) and Paul Chen (Shinto) counterparts. I must say that the while the dragon tsuba looked so intriguing while deciding on the purchase, the sword's other details make the tsuba a minute detail.

All around, you will not find another Katana this well made for under $100. I highly recommend this sword to any martial artist looking for a practical katana that is still an eye-catcher.
A very good starter sword for anyone looking to start a new collection or just looking for something that will cut through most light through medium targets. It just arrived today and to be quite honest it was alot better than I expected. Not to mention it looks great hanging on a wall or in a traditional stand. The factory edge is not bad but it could use a little bit of sharping if you want to use it on heavier targets other that milkjugs and waterbottles. This sword is a must have or all collectors. I am looking forward to the next sword I get from Trueswords.
Very nice sword. Its sturdy and is made of fairly good quality steel. As for the price, it truly cannot be beaten. However, be EXTREMELY careful, as it is very sharp.
For $59.99 you can't beat it. Very well made. True Swords is one of, if not THE best online spot for swords.
Fast shipping and customer service is second to none.
Real talk.
Wow, sword has a very good feel, very well balance. I looked at swords for a little while now and decided on this one, I'm glad I did. This is an excellent purchase.
Wow! True Swords has truely come threw for me again. this is a beautiful sword and a fully functional one as well! i couldnt believe the edge on this blade it cut through a 2x4! it well made and a must have in any sword collection!
Ah my first sword and I am pleased. The blade is sharp and flawless. The guard is nice but it doesn't make or break the sword. As does the handle. The saya is the only problem, it came with SLIGHT damage. Nothing much but rather irritating. Anyway it is a great buy 5/5.
This sword is Amazing as is every Musashi sword I own I've bough like eight swords from here but this is my new account so I can't comment them. I seriously give this sword a five. best sword I own I practice sword techniques and if you're looking to do the same I'd say this is your best bet. The blade is thick handle is made solid, the wrapping is kind of soft and good feeling on your hands unlike some swords. It is sharp, the blade is very strong, its got a really good balance to it, and it seems to feel lighter than my rosewood shirasaya but I think its just the balance. Well thats all that I really look for in a review.
I got this sword in two days after shipping, which is pretty fast. After having owned this sword for a couple of days and using it every day for a good amount of day, I have to say it's a good deal for the price. The blade comes sharpened, the wrapping is cotton, very tight, and won't come off easily. The saya is a great, rich redish mahogany, however, the paint does chip off easily, after accidently dropping the saya. One more thing to add is that after hitting the blade on hard substances, which you shouldn't do, it looks as if the blade has slightly bent. It isn't positive that the blade did bend since I don't have the best eyesight, but overall, great blade for the price.
A fine sword for the price. Had a few nit picky imperfections but over all a good buy. The handle wrap looked rushed and sloppy compared to the other swords from them. It still looks great in my collection thanks True swords.
i just got mine and man its sweet...worth twice the price i paid ill get another sword from here soon! shipped super fast too!!!!!!!!
This picture doesn't do this sword justice. The saya is a dark blood red, almost purple even, but it's beautiful. the handle is shorter then other katanas i've bought, but I like that. It's not SUPER sharp, but it's sharp enough to chop up random things. I dropped it once by accident and it cut my finger open haha

My only complaint is the section where the blade meets the gold metal part near the middle, it's not really lined up well and could've been better put together, but then again it is only a 60 dollar sword

GREAT VALUE! a MUST have for any sword collector who wants a good looking quality sword without breaking your wallet
