This CRKT Obake alludes to the classic Japanese Kwaiken blade design but adds a modern tactical appeal. The 3 7/10" 8Cr14MoV is razor-sharp and features a unique Ti-Nitride coating with an acid etched pattern. The handle offers a cord-wrapped grip over faux ray skin, reminiscent of ancient Samurai sword handles. Includes a fitted glass filled nylon sheath and paracord lanyard with skull bead.

I have been wanting a small fixed blade edc defense knife for some time now. I fell in love with the simple, but ornate features of this small historic / modern knife. It looks better than the photos, and has a feel that anybody trained in the use of a blade will love. I carry mine with the lanyard looped around my ankle, inside my socks. I am on my feet 10 hours a day at work and forget it is there until i get home and take off my shoes and socks. A straight up pull an the knife is in my hand ready to go. A comfort when walking to work at 11p at night for the night shift. Thanks again BudK. This is my this C.R.K.T. and I love as much as the other two.
Very well designed knife, and as always with CRKT knives the standard of quality is very high. (My sixth one). In one day it became my normal carry knife. I'm thinking of contacting Mr.Burnley to make larger custom version. Though the knife was back ordered it came sooner than expected which was nice.And as always the Kennesaw folks were a pleasure to deal with.
