Cold Steel's wakizashi bokken is a great training device for martial arts and sword enthusiasts. Measuring 27 3/4" in length and constructed from the heaviest grade polypropylene available, this item closely duplicates a real wakizashi in length, size, weight, and feel. While not quite as rigid as wood, it has the advantages of being virtually unbreakable and remarkably stiff and cut resistant. This is a super training tool! Cold Steel, 92BKW.

PLastic????, thts an understatement!, this sword is made from POLR PROPELENE!, this stuff can break thru concrete blocks for gods sake!, this is very durable, very useful. Although the tsuba is plastic tho...
This is a very very nice Wakazashi Bokken for the price. It is just as good as the Katana, and has yet to fail me. I should have bought them as a combo to get a better price, but it was worth the money really. If you plan on using a short sword, or just want to dual wield swords, this is the product for you! I always use true swords for all my sword needs and wants, you won't find a better value! (believe me, I have looked, you won't!)
Now that I finally have the wakazashi in my bokken collection from cold steel I now have the full samurai sword set to spar with. (Bokken, Wakazashi, O-Tanto, O-Bokken) Just like anything else made by cold steel, its pretty much the best buy of its class. It is pretty much unbreakable and it serves as a perfect sparing tool. The only thing thats difficult is that it could have a better gripping system. You can add wrappings to it with electrical tape but I'll do that later. x3 All in all, its worth what you get, and the wakazashi is essential when trying to prefect a daisho style. 5 outta 5
I'm not a huge oriental guy these swords are good but the handle makes them big knifes that's the only prolem
Got it, been messing with it; complements the katana bokken perfectly, wields very well on it's own. I have a knack for smashing things, and this is quite the survivor(it's outlasted anything else I've ever destroyed). No noticeable damage. For $25, well worth it.Over 9000/5
AMAZING, feels very light, this is actually, in my opinion better than he wooden ones, very good quality.
I have owned a lot of practice and real weapons since I started collecting and when it comes to bokken I have not found anything that holds up like this cold steel bokken. I have broken three wooden Bokken in my training and two were when my oponent was going against me while I had this cold steel bokken. The only reason to buy a wooden bokken in my opinion is that the high quality Japanese imported ones can be made to a lot of very important specifications for experts. Blade length, blade curve, handle length, and handle curve. Most people dont take into mind that there are countless styles that call for different blade styles. Yes not all katana's are shapped the same and yes there is a reason for it. This however is a great weapon for someone who is looking for something that wont break.
As with my other review, I must start off with saying wow. This is absolutly great. Perfect in size, perfect in weight, just great. As with its big brother, the cold steel bokken, it is indestructible. If your looking for a light-weight, smaller practice sword, look no further. Cold Steel has the best products ever.
