The Gerber Ayako Silver Pocket Knife was inspired by the Higonokami pocket knives from Japan, which is evident when you look at the slim design, the pattern on the handle and the tanto-shaped blade. Even the opening mechanism is similar to that of these Higonokami knives. With it you open the Ayako like a friction folder and a solid framelock locks the blade into place. The 3 2/5”, blade is made of 7Cr17MoV steel with a black oxide coating and it can be deployed with a front flip or the nail nick hole. The silver handle is crafted of coined aluminum mark scale and stainless steel pile scale for a comfortable feel and an attractive look. The Gerber Ayako Pocket Knife is a cool, must-have modern interpretation of these Japanese knives!
