LifeStraw Personal Water Filter

I have worked all over the world, to include the Mideast and Africa. I always carry one of these since even when staying a hotel in the city before heading out, you cannot rely on the water being pure. Fill your little plastic cup and then drink it through a Lifestraw and you will not get sick. And once you get out into the countryside, these are indispensable.

I once drank from a mosquito infested, dirty, pond and the water came out crystal clear and tasted fine! Great for any survival situation! Also! DO NOT drink salt water (this includes urine, the straw does not filter out salt), any water with chemicals (such as a pool, the straw does not filter out chemicals), and do not always 100% rely on it. Some diseases it may not filter out, but other than that, it's amazing! Also, don't forget to blow out through the straw once you are finished drinking, this way it is cleared of any debris and is ready for the next use.

These things are awesome. The way the world is going, you may as well get a few of these just to be sure to have clean water on you at all times. I will be buying more. Thanks guys.

The drinking straw is very compact, easy to carry, and ready when you need it. If out on a hike,hunting, or fishing, it is ready to use to give you fresh water, without having to carry extra weight, like a lot of heavy water. I would recommend it for everybody to keep handy. Keep one in your pack, car, & even your house.

Took the wife and grandchildren (3) for a hike in the canyon;everyone had a 16oz bottle of water at the start. However 6 miles in Texas heat, we were able to reach the creek on empty.My wife told me we should have brought more water,I knew the right answer. Yes Dear,as I unpacked one of the Life straws I bought from ya'll; had a cool refreshing drink from the creek and asked if anyone else was thirsty? Tested and approved by Grandmaw and the children. I've read about this product and it seems to be a good emergency system. Hope not to have to use it, but it's there if I need it.

I have only heard amazing things about these bad boys so when I saw it for 20 dollars, I said sold. It can filter some crazy amount like 250 liters of water with just one straw. I camp and hike a lot so worse case scenario it is nice to know I can dip this bad boy into some raw/dirty looking water and still get what we all need, water. Have not tested it yet because it is my back up of a back up but I am confident that if it came to it this little guy has my back.

I was a bit skeptical at first, but I accepted my friends dare and drank straight from the weed filled end of the local lake. Tasted just fine to me!!! Really surprised. I am thinking of buying several of these just to have around.....Congrats of a great product!!!!!

I've no doubt the S*** will be STOPPING the fan SOON. Now she drank in the gar but the problem is the amount of water IN THE JAR didn't LESSEN. I do LOVE this company and I do REALLY DO OVER ALL TRUST YOU ALL, I'd also would like to be able to enjoy that COLD BUD...BUD.LOL! LOL! This is a great product. You can't guarantee over 220 gallons of clean pure drinking water at a better price. Great to keep in your car just in case it's needed.

Take it from a former service member (USN, 12 years), this IS the best proven water filtration survival product there is. We handed out thousands of these filters in New Orleans after hurricane Katrina. The people loved and used them so much we actually had a surplus of bottled water. I've personally owned two of these in ten years and they've provided clean drinking water every time. Buy one, even if you're sure you'll never need it. For the price and quality you'll be glad you did.

I purchased two for camping & bugout bag. Havn't used them yet but plan to experiment with them this camping season. I've looked at others and couldn't find anything comparable at this price. Nothing comes close to the 264 gallon capacity. Compact with lanyard. If it works as advertised I'll definitely purchase another just to keep in the RV as a backup.

Tested it out by drinking stagnant rain water out of a kiddie pool. Water tasted fine. Needed lots of effort to use to get small sips at a time. Drank about a quart. No sudden bathroom urges afterwards!

Anyone wanting to provide multiple people with water in a emergency should buy the Lifestraw Family, which filters 18,000 liters. ( enough to provide a family of five water for three years.) I recently bought two Lifestraws for a bug out bag. I didn't give them 5 stars because I can't tell you how I feel about them from experience. Though I have read that people can drink out of toilets with these things. I have also heard that Lifestraws are well made and durable. I bought the lifestraw for camping and being up in the mountains. With the lifestraw on me i do not have to worry about carring a heavy load of water with me making in easyier to rock climb and go to the rard to reach area ponds and streams.
