This Musha Bushido Zetsurin Samurai Sword is another battle-ready sword from the sword masters at Musha that is priced wayyyy under anything close to this quality. The 27" hand-forged, high-carbon steel blade is full-tang and double bamboo pegged to the hardwood handle. It will slice through grass mats, water bottles and bamboo stalks with ease! The handle is wrapped tightly in nylon and conceals a hidden throwing knife. A matching wooden scabbard is included.
This is a beautiful sword I was shocked to get this quality for 54 bucks. I have been a customer of Buck for a long time bought slot of swords and knives and this one is my favorite. Even better than my ten run. The blade is unique that it starts very thick at base and dampers down slightly in thickness to the tip. Well balanced nice touch on cloth wrapped handle very solid no rattles, the small knife is very nice sharp edge to. Sword is razor sharp, battle ready and no guard ads to the look and feel of this sword. THANKS BUDK
Nice sword. I bought mine locally. One of my favorites. Definitely a sharp blade and looks good too. Haven't really done any slicing with it yet though. Need to find some objects I can test the sword with. The knife is kinda flimsy though but not the sword itself. Super tough. Can't beat the price. I want another one but in the more stick style type
Just got this sword today. Mine is a good solid sword. No raddles. I think its a very beautiful design. Love how it fits flush with the sheath. As in the rest of the comments the throwing dagger does fit loosely in the slot but if it was hard to get out what use would a throwing dagger be if you can't use it quickly? The edge came sharp not sharp enough to cut hair but sharp enough to cut what you'd want with it. Diffenitly would suggest this sword to anyone that wants a real non-garbage pigtailed sword.
I was not to sure about this swords. But the reviews at True Swords helped me make up my mind. Now that the swords is here I do not regret it at all. This is my third sword from True Swords. I have some $20 swords from here, but this one is my third Musashi blade from here. True Swords have never failed me yet on a great sword that is not a $20 sword. Don't get me wrong, I buy the cheap ones expecting them to be not great. That so I can experiment with them and knowing they are not going to last long, because they are not full tang or to flimsy. So True Swords is three out of three in my book when it comes to more of a swords you are willing to dish out money for.<br /><br />Thank you True Swords for the great service.
Awesome sword... very sharp!!! Great appearance no chips scratches or anything. Definitely found my new sword supplier
Got mine yesterday and it is a beautiful sword.the pic doesn't show how detailed the design on the thrower is.but the best part was cuttin up the box it came in.its very sharp
I got this sword hours ago, and I have had it strapped to my side all day long. I love the look and the weight, also the blade is well sharpened. The only problem that I found with my sword, was that the knife would not fit in its holder right. It sticks up and it's a bit hard to get out at times. Otherwise a great buy, even with the lack of a guard.
I just recently received mine the past couple of days. Though this is my first purchase of any sword, I must say I am very, very please with it. It is in perfect condition, the blade is razor sharp, and I was able to slice through 4 1-gallon water jugs that were entirely filled without any effort. It was as if I was swinging it through air.
This sword has basically no faults. Even with close inspection. The thrower is of very good quality and you dont even have to use it as one I found many other uses. The blade is great quality as all Musashi products are. Sharpens great and will definately stand up to cutting.
Came soon and was perfect! There were no scratches/dents/bends or anything of the sort. will definatly buy from this site again!
I just got this sword today and I love it. Like everyone of the reviews say, this sword is sharp, so be very careful when using it.
I got this sword on 02/28/2012 and when I got it it looked beautiful and still does. Extremely sharp, handles with ease, and carries the symbol "Mitsudomoe" on the butt of the handle and top of the handle on both sides.<br /><br /> The symbol means; the universal balance between the body, mind, and soul.Should one focus on the three spinning "commas" one can see the cyclical nature of body, mind and soul. Should one focus instead on the space in between one can see the perfect unification of three seemingly separate properties into one focused center. The inner edge surrounding the body of the symbol represents the circle of life, and the outer edge represents the four esoteric elements as well as their transitional periods.<br /><br />To me this symbol is a way of life and how to live it.
Just received it 10 mins ago........the sword is amazing and that's all i can say...Thanks Trueswords.com...u guys did a great job.
Thanks again true swords for another fine piece of work. Shipment was fast and the sword looks and feels great. Tightly wrapped handle and the little blade fits snug on the side the saya. The blade itself was sharp, clean well oiled and it fits nice and snugly in the saya. Great Buy!!!!!
I greatly enjoyed getting this fine sword. Even though the shpment was slowed due to weather conditions, it arrived faster than expected. On top of that, this sword is extremly high in quality and was not damged at all. The only problem I have with this great sword is that the knife keeps slipping out, but that's not a big issue. I highly reccomend this sword for someone who loves swords and who wants to keep their loved ones safe.
Just received it today 30 minutes ago. I bought this for my son for Christmas and actually i was surprised how fast the delivery was and how GREAT the service is!!! The katana looks amazing, for sure my son will LOVE that product. Also i got the poster and it looks awesome i already gave it to my son he hanged it on the wall and he knows there's a katana for him on Christmas but he doesn't know which one. It came very nicely packed and in a sword bag which is amazing. Thank you very much true swords!!! I'm glad I found this site! Great job thank you very much!
Just got this sword and I can't believe how fast the shipping. And the sword looks incredible a little heavy but that's fine. The scabbard was nice and the hidden thrower was a really cool bonus .Overall this was a great sword for it's price
It took my sword three days to arrive. It had a fine coat of oil for rust prevention during shipping. The saya feels like plastic. The knife sort of overlaps with the blade and appears to be measured wrong with the compartment, but it stays and dosent mess with unsheathing the blade. The "guard area" on the sword looks like a sharingan (which made me happy!).The blade was beautiful, and the blood grooves makes it seem wide and intimidating. It was Razor sharp all the way down and the tip was pointy and perfect. The wrap was nice and tight but when holding, the sword is off balance.
Great looking sword for the price, very nice for display.<br />Do only LIGHT cutting with this one (just water bottles)<br /><br />PRO<br />nice looking blade<br />cheap<br />full tang <br />can do some backyard cutting with this one<br /><br />CONS<br />fake hamon (wire brushed) thats ok in this price range<br />the ito(the white cord around looks dirty<br />only suitable for light cutting (water bottles ONLY)
these fools are retarted, this sword should be priced above its mark. i have owned dozens of swords and this is by far a true sword to buy. it has problems but the consruction of the word is amazing its a 1045 carbon steel and has a full tang (blade extending into the handle) and it is very functional. this does have a risk of slicing your hand but it is well worth the 60$ you paid. if you want a perfect sword dnt expect to buy one under a few hundred dollars.
Looks and feels pretty good although the fake same and sort of dirty Ito remind you that it is still a $55 sword. The Saya feels a little on the cheap side with the Sageo a little dirty and not tied very well. Also the Kogatana doesn't fit very well into the roughly cut holder. The blade is what makes this sword worth the money. As soon as I got it I took it out to test on a few milk jugs and other liquid holding devices XD. It sliced threw all of them with no problems at all. In the end I am still giving this one 5 stars for the overall bang for your buck.
great sword. its really beautiful. my only complaint is that the thorwing knife doesnt fit right in place but the sword its self is really good and sharp. not razor sharp but sharp.
it sure is sharp, i like everything x3 cept the laces on the handle x3 gets dirty easy if ur not good at keeping stuff clean, lol i suck at keeping things clean.
I bought this katana for my son and I was surprised at the quality of if at such a price this katana is a must buy
This is a very nice sword; the very first full tang that I ever bought from True Swords. It is just the right weight and is a great addition to my collection. Use with care it is sharp, if you don't know how to handle a sword then if you get this it should be for display only or not bought at all. We don't want any unfortunate accidents do we? :P
This is the best sword in the world for a cheap price. Perfect weight , perfect balance, and razor sharp. This sword has it all. I recommend it to all true swords buyers.
truly an amazing sword. I orderd it on a monday, and it came by that thursday. the only thing im irked about it the thrower, I like it, how it looks and all, but the blade seperates from its handle too easily, must fix with glue.
Truly amazing! This sword has beautiful detail and is very sharp. It has great balance and the thrower is very nice. Everybody should own one. Shipping was super fast, i ordered it on a Thursday and got it Saturday. Thank you True Swords!!
OMFG!!! This sword is Awesome! the sheath is sleek and clean with a hidden blade to pull out on the side. Fine craftsmanship, the blade sharp with a nice groove. Very nice decorated japanese tomoe around the handle and sheath. the weight balance is perfect. It's worth the buy!!!
Very Good Quality Sword, Only Complaints, The Little Hidden Knife Is Pretty Flimsy, And I Spent HOURS Rewrapping The Sageo (Sheath Wrapping) Again, I Got It And It Was Just Kinda Haphazardly Thrown On There, So I Finally Rewrapped It Properly.
Bought this sword and came in a week later, looked great and really sharp but with very close inspections, the scabbard was cracked in 4 places, the slot for the hidden knife was cracked and the hidden knife didnt fit perfectly in the slot but other than that, the sword is sharp and definatley battle ready! Good buy just withs some pros and cons just like any other sword
I would consider myself more of an advanced collector. I bought this sword because I liked the style. The idea of a hidden thrower sounded interesting so I had to find out. The handgrip/hilt is ok but decently long. The swords weight is surprisingly light compared to most of my collection. I would say it is relatively sharp not o much razor sharp a advertised however its still sharp enough to cut very well. The Scabbard was in very good shape very minimal to no scratching and amazingly light. The only real downfall with the sword was that the thrower hangs over the guard just a tad. Overall for $54.99 its a nice sword. good for a newer collector or if you like the style I mean its pretty nice. If it was actually razor sharp (could break skin with little to no effort) and if the handgrip had a little better material I would have given it five stars but like I said for $54.99 I cant complain.
couldn't be more impressed with a $55 shirasaya. blade is excellent quaility and razor sharp. detail is beautiful. my only complaint is the habaki is slightly loose but not enough to notice. the small thrower is a bit loose and doesn't stay seated well but other than that, for a light duty cutter it handles my sub-par tameshigiri with ease! you won't find a better blade for this price... except maybe musashi's rosewood shirasaya
Swift delivery, well wrapped, the blade was well oiled and sharp. could have done a better job with the little knife fitting, but thats my only complaint.
i like it it was sharp. but the little knife thing was only sharp around the tip. overall it was a nice buy for my first katana
I really liked this product when I got and loved that it came with a knife as well. However, a couple days after I got it I noticed that it had hair line fractures that were progressively getting worse with no aggravation. <br />I really like this sword and it will probably end up being more of a show piece than a practice piece because of the growing fractures and the cloth wrapped handle I can see getting dirty very easily from much use at all. <br />In the end this would be a perfect 5 if it wasn't for the fractures that may defowel the saya.
The sword has a very loose fit in the saya, and the 'thrower'<br />is off center by a tad, but the blade is what makes this sword a great buy. Super sharp and very well made.
The sword arrived with in a few days of ording and is in simply awsome! The Saya isn't the same snow white as depicted in the images, but it still has a nice finish to it.<br />The blade itseld is truly amazing! it's not too heavy and makes a quick swish as it efortlessly cuts through air.<br />The throwing dagger can get in the way of resheathing the blad at times, but it's nothing for me to realy sweat about.<br />My only real complaint is the lack of the Musashi logo on the blade, which I thought all musashi blades came with, but it's not really a major one.<br />This is my first Musashi and I'll probably buy another.<br /><br />Displays nicely on my Musashi Shinto Katana Sword Stand<br />[TS-STMUS2]
An excellent choice, though more of a display sword than other Musashi blades. However don't confuse it with a typical "wall-hanger". This sword is very much a functional sword. <br /><br />My only grievance is the "hidden thrower" (letter opener). It sticks out from its hiding place and on close inspection doesn't quite flow with the design as well as the creator probably intended.<br /><br />Other than that, my only advice is to avoid thrusting and stabbing with this. The lack of handguard makes it only so easy to find out just how sharp this sword is out of the box, the hard way.<br /><br />Besides that, it is a beautiful piece that deserves a place on your sword rack.
Beautiful, beautiful, sharp, and oh yeah beautiful. The only reason it didn't get a 5 is that you can see some marks on the scabard where they painted it but I mean you have to really look to see it. Over all excelent buy.
The sword is great, one of the most balanced swords i have purchased from true swords. Feels great in your hands as well, not heavy at all. The only thing that made me give this sword a 4 is that the thrower does not fit neatly in its slot. That throws off the look a little. But being I bought the sword for the sword, its great!!!!
