I bought the knife thinking for $5 you can not be much. When I got it, it was much more than I expected. Very sharp, fairly nice sheath. I was very happy with it.

An unbeatable value and quite a looker. The blade is well made. sharp, and attractive. The handle is more like one of a diving knife. I couldn't be happier with this purchase. Highly recommended. Another perfect 10.

Great knife it's good for any use. It didn't come sharp but a 6 swipes on my sharpener and it's as sharp as ever. Really good knife!

This knife is so well made that I cannot believe the price. It is SHARP, it has the most comfortable grip I have ever felt in a knife, and the blade is perfect. It and the Alabama Slammer are awesome! I got both and am glad I did. Again, like all BudK knives/swords, there is a dried oil look to the blacde, but the metal glo stuff works on that.

I received this nice example just a few minutes ago!! It's just as described. Sharp (factory sharp :-), clean, strong lookin' Bowie. It's a little TOO large for carry, for me anyway, don't like to draw attention, but it's a fine addition to my collection. Happy, as usual!! Price, ship time, everything lines up. A GREAT buy. imo.

I love this knife. Great weight. Got it two days ago, the only bad thing is is that the button on the sheath doesn't snap well but over all I recommend this knife.

Great knife. Pretty sharp and looks awesome. Smaller than the picture would make you think but thats just because its not put in perspective against a hand or anything. Overall a great knife and a great buy.

I own one of these and a M.O.A.B survival knife and the two are EXACTLY the same except that the m.o.a.b's blade is black. So I would go for the m.o.a.b., same knife for $3 less.

At first glance you look at the price and then the picture and you think cheep. But after i got my hands on it, its a lot heavier than one would think and very solid. It comes sharp but not razor sharp but that's easy enough to fix. The sheath is not real leather but is still sturdily built. For the price its a great all purpose knife.

Great tool. Bought it a few years ago as part of my slowly expanding collection which eventually had to be sold off. This knife however stuck around. Useful as any knife I have ever had.

Haven't put this to any heavy use but it feels good in the hand and the blade is satisfactory. I'm not big on rubberized handles and this one rests well in the hand. Not bad at all.

I bought 2 and gave one to my redneck Bro-in-law. Afterwards I noticed that it says "Redneck Toothick" and NOT "Toothpick" on the blade. He didn't notice it but I did. Oh well, for the money, it's a pretty solid knife. The snap on the cheap plastic sheath broke the first time I tried to unsnap it so I replaced it with some velcro, and the reinforcing rivets on the sheath are worthless, so I replaced those with some larger, solid rivets. After adding a conch to the sheath, the whole thing looks pretty sharp now. After polishing and putting a better edge on the blade, I now have a knife that looks great in my collection and is also functional. This is NOT a complaint review, I'm just stating a few facts, the knife itself is awesome and well worth what BudK is charging for it.

Very good knife for the money. Obviously you;re not getting top of the line stuff but in a practical real world sense there isn't anything that this knife can't do which an expensive one could. My only nitpicks with the actual knife is that I think the width of the handle is a little tiny bit too wide & feels a little large in my hand (& I don't have small hands). And also the other tiny gripe I have is that the balance point is slightly ahead of the guard so it's a little blade heavy up front. Though like I keep saying these are both tiny gripes really. The largest complaint would have to do with the sheath. Like so many other, mine fell apart within a day of hardly even using it. The rivets on mine fell out, so I replaced them with new ones and it's fine now.

Excellent knife and useful for just about anything. Only thing wrong is the sheath, as it fell apart within a week or two. Buy a good leather sheath and this will last you forever!
Great knife! My only complaint is that it didn't come sharp. After a few swipes through the sharpener, the edge is pretty good. The point will certainly go through someone, but it isn't what you'd call sharp. Certainly an intimidating blade.

i bought a knife from my local military surplus, the box it came in says redneck toothpick and budk all over, the blade also says budk but it looks nothing like the blade depicted, is it the same? . . . great knife, great weight, worth more than the $15 i paid for it

Good, solid knife that feels good in the hand. Without the pretty cheesy blade etching, it could easily be a $20+ knife. Maybe some Gun Kote?

This is a cheap knife however it can be disassembled and some the JB weld applied but that will not correct the poor design. A much better concept would of been to stamped the whole base knife;reduce the blade length by an inch & the depth by 1/2 inch and increase the tang to the pommel. Considering the price it is not bad but could of been much better and simplified the production process.

good knife for the price. Be aware that the tang is not advertised as full tang, I think the tang probably only goes about 1/4 of the handle deep. However, the blade (after minimal use) seams to secure. Needs to be sharpened to get to "razor sharpness". Good knife for a new collector.

Purchased this knife on $5 Friday, when I took out of box and plastic the screwed pommel was loose and fell to the floor. Took it apart and noticed a threaded metal bar spot welded to the blade badly welded. The bar was rusted bad, I cleaned it up with Ballistol and JB welded around the spot welded and the pommel to the screw. Will use this for a tool box truck knife.

Cheap Knife. Designed from Gerber, but not made as well as the original. Blade-tip can break easily, handle is made of slippery-rubber, blade and handle connection is not steady (suggesting that it is not a quality knife). This knife is a P.O.S other than being used as a display-knife...And, the sheath is very cheap too!
