I got the Ulu knife for a project of mine. I asked my wife how it would handle in the kitchen and she loves it. I got another knife for my project. My fingers didn't fit the holes very well but hers were just right. I also found the edges pretty sharp for me. They don't bother her.

just received this item from Bud K and, well, there's some good things to talk about ... noticed right away that they could have engineered it 8.5" long with a 6" blade and it would make a dramatic difference (compared with 7 3/4 length - 5 1.2 blade now). that would allow for larger finger holes (just the fingertips fit as is) and make it that much more well-balanced. I'm definitely adding this to my collection though, and may even use it in the kitchen, as I chef on a regular basis and instantly recognize how very handy this cutter will be over all. check one of these out for yourself, it's worth the cost even as a novelty item !

First time putting belt through the loop 5 minutes later t came apart. Other than that the blade itself is fantastic. Just wish the sheath was better quality.
