I bought it without the sheath, planning to make my own. The knife is gorgeous, surprisingly heavy and fits comfortably in my hand. The edge did have a bur or roll on it that I took off with a stone, the edge is very sharp. Great knife for the price.

so far most excelent I like that the sheath is tight on the knife came sharplove those camel bone scales but with a slightly rolled edge but my ceramic stones removed it!! now really sharp

This knife was bought as a campfire eater tool. I suspect the steel is 420 at worst or 420HC at best, based on how fast I wore down a new bevel on a 400 grit repair stone. That's not the best for a knife facing anything tougher than a boiled potato. Do not expect perfect fit-to-finish on the handle. There will be hairline gaps. Get used to it. It's a $14 knife. I do object to the "razor sharp" accusation. It's not true, as I have seen hammers with a finer edge. -1 star. Rather say nothing than lie. Pros: Cheap. Easy to sharpen. That'll be real handy when you first get it. Extremely rust resistant Exactly the right size to assault a 20 0z steak Cons: Better have a stone with you. It will take a razor's edge, but it won't keep it. This is not a hard steel like D2. Note, this is a con, not a dis. I knew this knife was not made from crucible steel from Austria. I would recommend this product based on my intended purpose. You need a working blade, get something with a Rockwell Hardness of around 60.
