Cold Steel "tribute" knife...

What a fantastic general purpose Knife! Smaller & more practical than the Cold Steel Bowie that it resembles. Get one...

The Timber Wolf "Claimstaker" Bowie Knife!

Was attracted to this knife from the first time I saw it. But figured it might be "just another Bowie". WRONG! No individual's name is on this knife, just a brand I will buy MORE knives from. No big fancy price tag on this knife, but it is worth far more than the cost asked (unusual). It is made VERY sturdy, in traditional shape and manner of a "classic" Bowie knife. Was actually razor sharp out of the box, and the point needs to be respected as it is "capped" for a reason. Most knives of this type "look" deadly and useful. This knife IS deadly and useful and not just another "trophy" type knife to put on a wall or in a drawer. It is not a knife for everyone, as some of the "reviews" indicate. But it is a KNIFE for the few of us to whom it SPEAKS. If you don't know what I mean, or think this is melodramatic? It is NOT for you brother.

Build good finish bad

Got it and am extremely happy with the build quality but it came with the finish worn off huge portions of the blade.

Solid chunk of steel

Really good knife. Didn't come real sharp, but easily remedied. Tang metal was a a little chinkered up. But great for price

Awesome knife

I absolutely love this knife. It’s a big hefty knife that is as solid as solid can be. Comes with a sharp blade and a nice thick wooden handle. The full tang blade assures you, you’ll have no problem out on the field or any task at home. The sheath is the only disappointment not because it is poorly made but because it’s a nylon sheath rather than a good leather one. Other than that, this knife is up high in my collection.

OUTSTANDING VALUE

I will continue the 5 STAR rating string for the TW Claim Staker Bowie, ONLY thing I changed was the Sheath, to a heavy duty leather one found on Ebay. Very satisfied with the knife & look forward to YEARS of use.

Great knife for a steal

I was looking for a good knife to break down for a project I'm doing, (using some found camp wood to turn into heirloom camp tools for my kids when they get older), and could just not find a knife or blank I liked. I settled on this knife for 20 bucks and glad I did. Not just a good knife but truly one of the best I own. When my KaBar is not at my side this will be. One quick note the handle is a bit wide for my taste, not a big deal as I had planned to replace the scales as previously stated but something to consider if you are not a fan of thick handled blades.

Awesome Sticker

This knife like the other reviewer's have stated, is a homage to the more expensive cold steel '17. It feels good in the hand, very solid and at this price point is a no brainer. The sheath is meh... But that's par for the course. If you like knifes chances are you do just buy it! Regards, The Venerable Crapper

Great Little Bowie

This is a full-tang Replica of the COLD STEEL, 1917, Frontier Bowie Knife. It Is Much Smaller & made from 3CR13 stainless steel. ( The Cold Steel version is made from 1085 High Carbon, Blued, Spring Steel. ) This Timber Wolf replica is still quit nice and Looks Amazing. I have a Video unboxing review of it on YouTube: Joe Doomsday
