Very cool knife! Very long too! Had to do a little adjusting to the locking mech. but other than that just as advertised. Dig it, so to speak!
Love it. But I had to grind off a small part of the blade latch to make it (self) open reliably by catching the assist opening lever on your pocket as you pull it out.
This thing is BIG. Doesn't open as fast as other assisted open knives, but it's still pretty fast for such a big stiletto knife. If you were thinking about getting this knife, get it. It'll make an intimidating addition to your knife collection. Thanks BudK!
I received my knife as a birthday gift from my wife. I am very impressed with it. It came out of the box VERY sharp and in excellent condition. It opens very fast and is quite intimidating. It holds an edge well and I have no problems using it for many everyday jobs. It has made me an excellent boot knife thanks to the added clip. I highly suggest this knife and plan to order the Outlaw Bowie from BudK soon. If your looking for a fun and functional blade, give the Rampage a try.
Assisted openers usually range from $10-25 or $75-150, the latter being much higher quality 99% of the time. This is true here as well but for the price you can't go wrong, though I wouldn't stake my life on it.
Now it doesn't open at "lightning speed", but it is quick. It's very imposing too, almost like a mini sword LOL. A fun knife and a great buy.
One of my personal favorites! Smooth, fast, & sharp!
I thought the quality and heavy duty materials are well worth the price. I have a few in different lengths. Lots of fun. Not the fastest deployment out there- but they still work.
I GOT THIS KNIFE ON SALE FOR 13 BUCKS/ IT WAS IMPRESSIVE IN SIZE SHAPE AND SHARPNESS HOWEVER AFTER EASILY OPENING THE BLADE IT DIDNT STAY LOCKED IN PLACE. JUST A LITTLE BIT OF PRESSURE WOULD KNOCK THE BLADE OUTTA LOCKED POSITION. I TOOK A DREMEL AND CUT A SLOT ACROSS THOSE D**N TORX ALLEN BLADE BOLTS TO EASILY ADJUST THE BOLT PRESSURE ON THE BLADE. WITH THE THE RIGHT PRESSURE THE BLADE OPENS EASILY AND EVEN STAYS LOCKED (I use my fingernail on the now slotted bolt to create the right tightness. I STILL WOULD NOT USE THIS KNIFE IN COMBAT AND I WOULD HAVE SET IT BACK IF THE PRICE WASNT SO CHEAP
This is one eye popping blade. It's fast and strong for a huge folding knife. Just a simple flick of the assist lever brings the blade to full extension. I plan to fill some sandbags and test the ease of penetration soon. With the shape and strength of the blade I can imagine not penetrating to the hilt.
while it looks and feels solid it is slow opening and a little difficult to close ! Maybe these inconveniences will clear up with time after a break in period? still I think my brother will like it and the other gift so all told not to shabby a deal !!!!!
The Rampage is OK, it's a decent knife, but for similar $$ you can get a better assisted-open knife of the same size from TacForce.
Fairly solid but very rough deployment, not smooth and slow. Blade isn't stainless and some moisture left rust.
I got two of these during a boho and free shipping sail. It was $13 for two. It was quite a good deal considering they have a retail price of $32 each. They are overall good knives. One of mine sounds like something is loose when I shake it, and the other one's lock gets stuck a lot. They are quite sharp and huge.... Overall pretty good knives
when i got it out of the box it was wayy biger than expected and ficken awesome, its pretty sharp out of the box. it dosent loose its edge easily and its just overall a great knife for so many things to use it for!!!
really good knife. When I got the knife i was pleased how clean it was and how sharp the blade was. It also has a nice weight to it.
I thought this was an awesome knife when it came out of the box. Then i took a closer look at it. The blade wobbles, so does the handle. I gave it three stars because it did look awesome.
I bought two of these bad boys and man are they awesome. from scaring the younger kids at school to showing them off to my friends the only thing i can say somewhat negative about it is that the black version of this blade doesnt sound as kool when i fold it back in, the silverish grey one makes a *ssink* sound haha xp
I'm a bi fan of stiletto knives and I loved this. It is still worrying perfect. If your interested in a assisted opening knife or a stiletto this is a must buy.
Nice up-dated stiletto, > 6 1/8" spear point stainless steel blade is not quite razor sharp,assisted-open mechanism works well with strong finger pull. Balance is off due to handle too heavy; extra plate in liner; maybe, also affects slim profile feel. Blade would look better with out blood grove. Open it is a Dagger. May return it, Looking Down handle(loose), and blade is angled off, Edge and broad side both. I'm sure it's just this one so 3.5 stars.
