HOLY S**T!!!!! This thing was amazing! The sword is very durable and strong, the handle has real leather wrap which grips perfectly. Out of all the blades I've bought this one is the best deal, I'd easily pay $60 for this thing. 5/5 Stars!

This sword is one chunk of heavy metal. Beware zombies or anything else for that matter that gets in the way of this beast.

This sword is awesome. Really feels good in my arm, plus it holds a really good edge no matter what I put it through. My only complaint would be that the leather on mu handle was too loose and it started overlapping, but it was quickly remedied by soaking the handle and laying it in the sun.

Great sword, alot more than i was expecting for the price, and heavy piece of work, though the oil on the blade was unexpected,im very happy and cant wait to display it.

just got this sword and i love it!no complaints except 1 thing, and its the rap around the handle.while holding it the wrap started turning and now its all messed up.but besides that its everything i expected, very sturdy and heavy duty.It could have been a little sharper though i must say but thats easily done at home.

Very good buy. Made of very nice quality metal. The only bad part is the handle. Granted, I put this thing through hell, but the bottom of the handle guard came off, and soon after the bolt that holds the handle sheered off. If you try to take wide swings with it, the handle guard does tend to get in the way anyways, so it's better off without it. With a little bit of TLC and some epoxy, it was good as new (Better without the handle guard). Also, the tip of the blade broke off when I was trying (Successfully) to chop through an old (Heavy gauge metal) computer case, and accidentally hit concrete instead. It took a marble sized chunk of concrete with it though. Even through that, the blade did not bend or deform, but broke. Overall, other than the handle, this sword is nothing short of impressive.

All in all, a good sword. The only problem with it is if you take off the wrapping then strike a thick piece of wood, the handle is victim to splitting. My advice is to take off the wrapping and ty it as tight as you can arounf the handle, but if possible, you could get a big amount of real leather wrapping, given that this is synthetic leather. Also be careful of the plate at the end of the pommel, it can come off is one has too much vibration from hitting an object. Though the blade is excellant, the tang could use improvement, by say, making out of one solid piece of metal and having a thin cylinder of wood over the handle, so if the handle splits, you can still use it and not worry about looseness.

i bought this beauty when it was just 20$. let me say the best 20$ sword i have EVER purchased. yes it will cut through nails, flesh, bone and put a good chip in a solid hunk of steel or another sword for that matter. as for downsides, i found two. one the wood and fake leather grip fell apart with in a few minutes of light handling. no problem, wrapped the INSUFFICIENT tang with nylon rope. as for the worse problem. the insufficient tang i mentioned broke after minor use. this for me(who is some one who doesn't mind modifying swords)was easy to fix. grind down the rear of the blade and wrap it tight with desired material. and a long swords becomes a super wicked machete/clever

Out of the box and straight to the garbage. The handle is the biggest piece of junk. The bottom guard was loose so I tried tightening it and it stripped I ended up breaking the bolt that is welded on to get the handle off. So just put it on the wall and don't try tightening or loosening the handle since the nut floats freely , at least on mine. Negative 5 stars if possible.

I just got it and I love it. The blade is wicked sharp, and its weight is incredible. I can feel its power with every swing, and its a great workout. I always try to buy swords that I can use, and this thing definatly counts. Love it.

I bought this sword with much interest in the durability of the blade. I was surprised with how well it could cut through flesh, bone, animals, and even the shell of a turtoise. I recomend this sword to any warrior, soldier, blade runner, but its not suitable for mortal use.

Looks great on wall. I bought the companion knife to go with it. Guess it will stay on wall cause I'm not expecting any Samaritans to come charging through my front gate.

"I have purchased 2 the first I sharpened and torcher tested it. It chopped through a 3 sapling with one stroke. I became determined to break it to find out its limits. I almost gave up it seemed indestructible. But it did finely break. Also the handle is foe lather. Dont be discouraged I beat the roil h*** out it. Not just a good sword for the price its a very good sword and its the Lowest price."""

This sword is amazing. It is strong, looks good, and can easily split things (even a nail, like the catalog said). It does have a few problems, but they dont detract enough to really complain. The leather on the handle is put on poorly, so itl push towards the bottom if you use it, but thats easily fixed with more leather and you dont need the leather anyway. The main annoyance is its weight. It is a 1 handed sword so unless you are really strong or get a lot of practice do NOT swing this sword near anything that you want to keep, and be carefull where your legs are when you swing down. The sword comes dull and is hard to sharpen, but its mass makes the swing good anyway.

Finally got this sword in the mail yesterday, knowing about the looseness of the leather strip on the hilt already I tore it off right away to reglue it. After it dried everything was fine, putting it through a few tests today.

this sword is unbelievable you get it and it makes you drop your jaw. the metal is good and even though the handle feels fake and shakes side to side and the gard is hollowed out its still a awsome sword due to the meatal blade.

This is a very cool sword. Its heavy metal and comes semi sharp. Only down side is handle is cheap and the wrap is loose and moves but for 30 bucks you cant beat it.

Very good show sword but I wouldn't use it on another sword. Came dull and hard to sharpen and strap came off when swung around. Editor's Note: Thank you for your comments. We have updated the review to reflect the appropriate spelling.

I am a third generation swordsmith, so when I buy a blade I want to make sure I'm getting my moneys worth. To admit, I didn't have great expectations, it being only $30, but when it arrived I was very pleased with the craftsmenship. It surprised me that it was so inexpensive because it looked to be an honest forged blade. To be frank, it looked much like a blade I would pull from the forge, so I was impressed. I have yet to test it's durability, but from the quality and the numerous reviews, I beleive it will hold its own. The only downside to this blade and many others I have seen is the handle. It seems to be a bit loose but none the less adequate. If you are thinking about purchasing it, I would say to just do it. It is no doubt the best 30 dolars Iv'e spent on a blade.

I have to say that everyone who said this thing was heavy was right! I just recieved mine today (took about 3-4 days to get here) and I can say i couldnt be happier. the only downside was the handle. it does feel alittle loose but i got used to it. i cant wait to sharpen this thing up to see what its actually capable of :D

ok guys, the grip and pommel are the only two flaws of this piece. it is a good sword to use as i have on steel,NAILS as in the picture and wood up to four inches. this sword did extremely well with all three, how ever i would not recomend the nails very often because the chance of missing the nail and hitting the brick is too high the brick actually flatted the 420 stainless steel blade. but a little time on a grinder and its sharper than when it arrived. ah i forgot the cures to the problems of this sword. the pommel and hand guard: the hand guard needs a drop of gorilla glue on each side it swells and locks in place, then the grip i used tightly bound rope since the tang was a little thin. but that works great for me then the pommel, use about three drops in the pommel and on the end of tang and tada an awesomely FUNCTIONAL peice how ever do not leave it out in the rain.....as my brother did and it will deveople rust quickly.

nice sword not as thick as i thought it would be on the back side looked way thicker on site. but over all cool sword only problem was loose wrapping on handle ...note to ad a lot lighter than expected swings easy one handed it is a cool sword

This sword is WAY heavier then expected. In fact, it is the heaviest sword I have ever handled. It is expected to be a one handed sword; however, good luck with that. Fortunately, the handle is big enough that you can use two hands. I have not sharpened the sword however, it would really ruin someones day left unsharpened.

a very heavy sword, wonderful for hack and slash. very poorly designed handle, I to have had to repair both the handle itself and the leather wrap. also while the top/bottom guard looks great, it doesn't bode well for the actual swing as the bottom guard messes with your wrist as you finish your swing. I removed the bottom guard and secured the handle with a bolt and nut combo and haven't had an issue since.

great blade, it looks cool and it takes a beating. i only rate it a 4 because the handle keeps falling apart, i had to repair it myself almost as soon as it was out of the box.

So I bought this after reading reviews about the handle. I figured it would fall apart, but not as fast as it did. This was obviously not meant to be used, handle fell apart after two swings. Removed handle completely and will make a much better one. Blade seems great though, only reason it gets 3 stars.

This weapon was used very much in the Battle of Thermopylae, in the MOVIE 300. this weapon simply did not exist in the time that the actual battle was fought. leaving that semantic aside, the weapon itself is wicked to look at, even more wicked to hold, definitely would not recommend for actual usage though, the handle is far to weak to be hacking at things, even if the blade is razor sharp. well worth the 3 stars

Tip broke off when I dropped on cement. then the handle snapped off when i hit a 2X4. Now I have a piece of rod iron. Not a real strong sword. Looks good though.

Its ok, except it is cheaply made the handle falls apart, it was never made good. It is heavy but just LOOKS cheap, other wise it rocks LOL.

My son bought two, one for each of us and his broke at the handle. Mine is fine as long as I just keep it hanging on the rack. It looks good, very heavy, but I can tell it was not heat tempered and will break or shatter easily. It feels like it is very brittle, even though it looks strong and solid. Buy this only for looks and you'll be happy. Purchase this with the intent to swing at trees or any solid objects and you'll probably have a sword in several pieces.

Although this sword looks cool and is massively heavy, it is a cheap metal casting that makes the metal extremely brittle. I tried to split a simple pine 1*2 with it and the sword immediately snapped at the hand guard, falling to the floor, with the tip of the blade also shattering off. As a wall hanger sword it will suffice, but for anything more robust or intimidating than a piece of wood as thick as a six year old's wrist, you are out of luck.
