I didn't expect it to be so well made. It looks GREAT! Well worth the cost. It comes with a single point hangar at the top. If you're going to hang it on the wall you should drill a hole through the bottom cross member and put a screw there too. One screw won't support the hangar and 8 swords.

good stand, came with a sword I ordered. a bit smaller than I expected but gets the job done! I enjoy seeing it on my wall. comes with all screws and even a nail to hang it.

I really liked this wall display it's easy to assemble, sturdy, and very nice in almost any room. I would definantly recommend this to a friend and I plan to buy many more

Great item for the price. Gave to my son for Christmas and he loved it. BudK has the best deals on the internet.

Its cheap but it works and it seems to be holding together just fine with three swords and five bb guns in it right now. Cant beat it for the money and cheaper than making it yourself. Would recommend adding felt linings to the rack slots.

This is a sweet little wall stand. The wood is real and varnished, instead of the IKEA-type kits others offer. Thanks, BudK!

You guys (& girls) at True Swords are awesome. I ordered this yesterday, got it today (I live about 150 miles from Merietta). Very impressed with the quality of this item especially at the price. By reading the reviews posted here, I went ahead and installed a hanger on each side at the top so balance would not be a problem. Had the display put together and hung in about 45 mins. at the most. Very impressive with my swords on it. The samurai emblem at the top is much nicer than I expected. Overall an excellent wall display. If you have some nice swords, this is the wall display you want them on.

It looks an tad smaller in real life then it does in the photo, but it's nothing minor as it fitted my growing sword collection just fine. I put two nails on each side of the samurai to stop it from swaying, in the wall i mean, not the display. =P however, I like this display as the placing is very nice even if you don't have 8 swords.

Excellent stand. Well worth the money spent. With a little makeshift organizing with things I already owned (hanging trinkets and such), I was able to make it look more exquisite (not that it needed it)

As for the swaying, I just had to get 2 pinhead nails (white because my wall is white) and nail them on either side of the stand right in between of the lower section screws at a diagonal angle. That stopped the moving. I also used this putty type non-residue type adhesive, and that stopped it too, and also made it so it didnt raise out from the wall. Either way, not an issue. And the stand made an excellent eye catcher to my bedroom. So for that, I thank True Swords for another great item.

Just arrived today along with several other swords and bokkens I ordered, it fits everything very well, does seem to sway a bit because of the use of only one nail. Other then that I have no complaints.

I got this stand as a birthday gift for a friend and he loves it. Any abid collector needs a decent stand to display his prize possessions. The orniment at the top is well crafted and artistic. Thanks for offering a great product.

Wow... All i can say about this is that it is very cool and I like it alot. It takes my breath away when I look at it in my room with my swords on it... Its so beautiful... *gets a tear in eye*

Good Stand, extremely easy to assemble, solid construction, the design on the top is nice. Only thing is it hangs on one nail, so if the swords are off balance its gonna sway to one side or the other. Thats pretty easy to fix though so no biggie. Over all a very nice product.

this rack was a very good item and I'd recommend it to anyone. It was easy to assemble and very easy to hang and the price was fair for the item,Thanks BudK.

I drilled four holes, one in each corner, and used anchors to mount this. The stand is decent. Not bad at all. Comes with anchor, mounting hardware, and choice of stud or screw for the anchor. I like my shelving solid and worry free. If you want it balanced you will have to shift your swords around for weight distribution. I say buy it, if you do not like it...hack it up with your sword.

You will have to work at supporting this sword display and to keep it balanced, but it can be easily achieved. Use a couple more supporting screws under the top decal on the sides and you got your support. Mine can now hold just about anything. This is a great way to display your sword collection and to have your swords readily accessible. I'm just starting my sword collection and I'm buying swords once in awhile and eventually I will fill this display up.

very solid construction, very heavy material, very nice lacquer coating.

pro's:
-sturdy
-looks good
-holds swords securely

Con's:
-only one wall mount screw
-mine only lined up with 2 screws on each side rather than the 4 total its meant to (drilled the hole correctly to fix this easily)
-gets dirty very very easy (guess its not really an issue)

its just a tad overpriced for the screw holes to not line up properly but i was so impressed with the actual construction ill let that slide. if it had been drilled correctly then it would be perfect!

Looks great. However, like previously stated, the bottom of the shelf tends to stick out.. it is an easy fix though..

This sword display looks really nice, It hangs with 1 nail which is a down side so you may have to add another screw to keep it balanced, but besides that the stand looks awesome on my wall.
Apr 16, 2006

It's made of some fine wood, it looks beautiful on my wall, and the sculpted samurai medallion is very nice. It was very dusty when I got it, and the furniture polish I cleaned it with left a semi-visible mark. With only one point to hang it on, the swords you put on it must be properly ballanced, elsewise it will lean to one side. Also, the rungs are spaced kind of close together, so the handles of some swords may touch each other, if hung on consecutive rungs. It's also great for storing sports equipment, such as field hockey sticks. And no, elsewise is not an actual word.

Got this today, the holes were very misaligned and caused one of the threaded inserts to strip so in the end I had to use only 7 of the 8 screws to assemble it.

The black finish is nice but It looks like they put the samurai emblem in the packaging before the paint was dry as it's flaked off some of the high spots and the resin underneath shows if you look at it carefully, from a couple feet away this is not noticeable.

With a re-alignment of the mounting holes, and slightly better packaging for the resin piece this would be a 5 star product.

I have mixed feelings about this. I think it's great for the price, but there is only ONE hook (behind the emblem) to hang potentially 100lbs of swords using ONE nail. I'm nervous about hanging it and there is no way I can think of to fix this because it's not wide enough to reach 2 beams on the wall in my house. I'll give it a shot, but I'm probably going to end up installing a shelf and standing this on it.
May 28, 2009

This wall mount was pretty basic. It has good detail on the disc at the top, but it lacks support. There's only one hole in the back for a wall mount. If you plan to mount heavy swords, they'll make it off balance and it will tilt heavily to one side without proper balance. Otherwise it's a good mount.
Jul 27, 2011

This thing is made of cardboard, the drilled holes are misaligned and easily stripped, there is no central support (either vertical or horizontal) to prevent the weak material from twisting under the weight of a full stock of swords resulting in the screws being pulled through the board and the display in general is too small for 8 swords (the width, the diameter of the hooks, etc). Trust me, I now have to somehow reattach an ivory dragon head to a katana after this thing decided it didn't like hanging on the wall like a good little display (the mount was properly anchored, in fact it's still in the wall--it ripped right through the cardboard). The only redeeming quality is the fact that you can rip off the top section and mount it on your wall as a display piece all its own, though you may want to carve it up a bit due to its odd shape. Overpriced by roughly 600%.

Luckily, the rest of my order which consisted of items from reputable manufacturers more than made up for this poor purchase.
