"This knife was a real disappointment. First, it had no edge whatsoever when it came out of the box. It took me over an hour with a stone and several sharpening and honing tools to get an edge on the blade that would cut... anything. After doing so, I took it outdoors to engage in a couple of activities that I thought an "Amazon Jungle Survival Knife" ought to be able to handle with reckless abandon - carving, chopping, and batoning. The good news is that the edge I added was sharp enough to do everything that I required of the knife. The bad news is that I had only been using it for ten minutes when the blade started to separate from the handle. Finally, the serrated edge along the top is purely decorative. One would expect it to, perhaps, function as a saw if one were stranded in the Amazon. I am not sure this should be called a knife at all, in the condition in which it was delivered to me. It is more of a "potential" knife. If you are willing to expend the time and elbow greas"

"This is a really cool knife! Pretty big and very useful. Will scare the crap out of people who bully you. I have used it twice just not on anyone, and I wont, hopefully. I used it for camping and is every thing I expected for a super good price. Except shipping is like 7 bucks, but still a great deal. Get it!!!!"

"First of all i was surprised at how thick it was and how easily the paint came off the blade. It was pretty sharp out of the box and had a nice weight to it. I let my friend barrow it over the week end and after he used it he really liked it. When i examined the knife for any marks the blade was loose and I was worried. So i went and cut down an eight in. thick pine tree. I cut it down and when i was skinning it the blade fell out of the handle. I put super glue in the handle and i haven't tried it out yet, but all in all good survival knife."
