My wife got me this one for Christmas, and I love it! Immediately went out and took down a sapling in one swipe, can't wait to tackle bigger jobs with it! Black Legion pulls thru yet again

I bought this for ten dollars and it is an amazing axe. It is a true axe, so don't think it will come with a sharp edge. I do wish it came with a sheathe, but I love the use for it.

I purchased this Axe on sale for $10 with free shipping and I have to say that I got one heck of a deal! I regret not buying more, at that price, while I had the chance. The reason I only purchased one axe is because I wasn't sure about the quality of the axe itself but after receiving it and putting it to use, this axe is definitely one to keep handy! Overall, it truly is a great axe. Especially if you get one on sale. It came with a decent edge for an axe but I did touch it up a little for personal preference. The rubberized grip definitely helps but I would recommend wearing gloves for any extended period of use. It is a long axe but it's not too big or heavy. It's great for camping or any outdoor activities that would require any use of an axe.

This axe is awesome. I'm not sure if I should cut wood with it or just hang it on the wall, it's beautiful.

I bought one of these a several months ago and it has torn through everything I've put in front of it, including the edge cover. I also really love the re-curved handle as it allows you to get more power out of your swing

I really like this axe great rubber grip it does not slip out of sweaty hands. I use it to chop firewood and it does a great job.

I bought this axe because I wanted something cheap in price to take on backpacking trips with me. I took it backpacking just last weekend and it worked beautifully. I chopped the thickest wood apart in the whole campsite; no one had bigger logs on their fire then me and my fire wood lasted to the next day. Over all it chops beautifully just be care full not to accidently hit a rock as I did. I took a chunk out of the tip of my axe. I was chopping wood on the ground and did not realize a rock was under the wood when I finally broke through. The axe is ok and still functional, the tip is not the part that really does the chopping, and the bottom and middle are what actually does the work. Over all great axe just be careful what you hit with it.

I am a retired professional Firefighter and I am very familiar with a good axe and this one is a very good one, especially for the money. I love the handle. It is strong and the design of the handle allows more power at the axe head. It is almost impossible for this one to slip out of your hands and cause an injury. The axe head had to be sharpened as was expected and the steel appeared to be of good quality. I would recommend this axe and it is a great buy.

Can't beat the price. Mine is old stock. Would buy another one! It's about two inches longer than an Estwing 26" camp axe and heavier. Comes with a good edge. Haven't tested it yet. Seems to be constructed well, fiberglass handle. I'll probably by another one.

The moment I saw this I bought this. . N trust me it took me a whole week before I bought the m48 tomahawk. But I qas a lil scared maybe tge head is gonna be small or crappy.. but when I got my new friend I just knew it was a [email protected]@$$ choice for my collection .. now if u want to chop wood of whatever ur heart desire I still belive this one be a lot of fun to use. I know 30 is a bit much but its so undervalued u shpuld get one before budk realize what they have n raise the prize but even then its worth it.. in my mind this axe is worth at least 50

one of the best axes i own really big not as big as i suspected but big. good deal not as sharp as i wanted it to but i use it for cutting wood so in general its a good buy. this place rocks thank you BUDK

Received axe and it looks like someone smacked it on the edge of a metal table or something. The edge was dull, wouldn't even say sharp let alone Razor Sharp but again that's typical of an axe so no biggie there, but there was a dent on the blade about the width of a pinky finger! Even the little rubber cover was cut through at that spot. Since the blade needs sharpening anyway the damage will be fixed when I sharpen it so point in sending back but I am a bit disappointed with Black Legion as the axe should have been packed in more than just a plastic bag from the manufacturer which might have kept it from being damaged. Everything thing else in my order was perfect and you can't BudK's prices.

I don't like to see that the ax was made in China... The performance of the ax was good. The rubber grips give a more controlled feel, but will tear up your hands. The ax comes with a edge on it that works in the field, but I would recommend taking it to your local knife store and having them put a good edge on it. It is well worth the weight! I use this tool more than most when in the bush, and I will continue taking it with me on every trip.

I ordered this back when it was a BOGO, and they sat in the garage for emergency purposes. I recently put one to use cutting up a recently fallen oak tree, trimming off branches when the handle snapped in two. The rubber coating on the handle prevented any injury from taking place, but this was unexpected. To make lemonade out of this lemon, we heat treated the broken fiberglass and re-wrapped the handle to make it a large hatchet. All told, I wouldn't buy another one. If I had stuck with my intended purpose, it probably would have been fine.

I got a couple of these one for the camp box and one for the garage. Really liked the first one I opened worked hard in the yard all day and it stayed with me. The one in the camp box... didn't have the same finish,or feel, almost like it was made by a different company.
