The Black Shirasaya Musashi Bushido Sword is extremely sharp and embodies the traditional style of the Shirasaya. This sword features a full-tang, carbon steel blade that has a razor sharp edge straight from the factory, as well as a heavy blood groove down the entire length of the blade. The blade is secured in the traditional fashion and can be easily removed. The handle and scabbard are constructed of hardwood from one end to the other. Includes a sword bag.

"Excellence...simply excellence.The sword glides out of the sheath contrary to the rest of the reviews. The handle and saya are lacquered black and can slip from your fingers, however the blade is perfectly balenced. My edge was rolled a bit, but I fixed it easily.THe only problem, and it's not much of one, is that I can't remove the handle on the blade. This is both a good...and a bad thing. For a blade that can cut through the package cardboard, the price is perfect. Soon I plan on buying a few actuall cutting materials to check the true usefulness of the blade."

Ok first of all, this

"Ok first of all, this sword deffinetly has an edge, but it isn't as sharp as all the comments and disriptions discribed. The blood groove is nice and makes it so there is a nice slicing sound when it gets swong. The blade feels very firm but please, don't hit trees with it. One thing that kinda bothers me is that the scabared has a VERY tight hold of the blade , which is good so it wont fall out if your jiggling it around but otherwise sucks. the blade is very nice and come from the factory with oil not gel on the it. The last thing is that the handle and the scabbard have a very glossy black coat on it, which isn't a bad thing what-so-ever I just thoght it was going to be a duller wood look to it. Oh yeah, one more thing is that the wooden peg that holds the tang in, looks a bit odd, but nothing much to be discuraged about, overall its a VERY nice blade."

"The sword I have is decent blade is sharp have only one complain't the one peg that holds it together is so loose you can pull it out with your finger if you shake it it will fall out and I don't know where to find a new one its a way smaller peg then my other swords so yea a Lil disappointed it is sharp though !"
