"The design of this handle is absolutely amazing. It fits my Giant hands, and my wife's tiny hands comfortably. a well-designed knife all around."
"Well made, solid, sharp right out of the box. Nice balance. Feels great in hand. I got myself across the knuckle with this one! Just a graze but opened it right up. I really like the trigger guard style hilt on some of the Hibben knives. I just think it adds to the overall appearance of the knife, as well as to the feel of your grip, more secure. Something that no one else I know has in there collection. This knife is going to get used. I will have to buy a second one for display purposes because THIS blade is going to be used - a lot!"
"I have had this knife for about 2 months and it is one of my favorites. I couldn't believe the design, quality and workmanship. Thanks for a great blade."
"What a class act.....finished beautifully....gorgeous blade.....required no initial sharpening....I'm a knife user, not storer....put this through its paces like the 5027 I purchased...chopping/poking/batton yada yada.......held an excellent edge...minimal touch up easily restored.....holding this is just plain comfortable....will make an excellent hunting knife or camping knife. I bought this over the 1095 based Ontario SP line which I respect....I have too much water/salt exposure in my activities...thus a very rust resistant 7cr17MOV steel serves me well. I can buy what I choose....I like the design of this knife, the .18 thick spine/full tang/beautiful micarta scales and pinning and the well structured hilt/subhilt. No one celebrates its Chinese origin, but aside from that, very very pleased with the product and would buy again. Also I should mention that the provided leather sheath is quite nice, thick and supports and protects the blade well....also looks quite sharp."
"I truly like every aspect of this knife enough so that I bought one for each of my nephews. Sharpening it the way Grandpa taught me fifty some year ago took a good while, mask the blade to keep it pretty, coarse oilstone 1500 cutting strokes each side, remask for 600 strokes waterstone 400strokes 1000 waterstone shaves dry hair right off my forearm its now in my bugout bag nuff said"
"I have a couple of Gil Hibben's knives now and this one is quickly becoming my favorite. I liked the design and the fit and finish exceeded my expectations for the price I paid."
