Seems to me like a good bayonet for a good price I would love to have one with a 16"-20" blade

Jun 24, 2022

To fit perfectly on the barrel I had to use a bayonet lug extender. The bayonet itself looks awesome and is sharp and ready if needed.

Perfect fit on lug. Sits perfectly on muzzle device. 14.5” carbine length gas. Loose enough ring to pass standard a2 imo. Mine is super slim to match barrel width. Etching is amazing and perfectly placed on flat section, worth the 5 bucks. Sharp and beautifully finished. New Budk customer, will spend a bunch more money on good schit like this!

Fit & finish are perfect, sharp out of the box and works great. Couldn't be happier. Those with 16" barrels will need a lug extension, this is not a design flaw or anything to do with the bayonet itself, so if you have a 16" barrel rifle Google "ar15 bayonet lug extension" and order one.

After opening the barrel ring a tiny bit with a rotary tool, I found the ring to fit over the flash hider very nicely. Then I noticed the second issue: the lug latch point was machined on a slight angle, tapering in towards the butt of the bayonet, which prevented the bayonet from latching onto the lug. Not a problem, I switched bits in the rotary, took a few minutes to grind the steel a little until it was straight. Now I have a 20” govt. profile AR (dang close to the M16A2 except for the Burst) and a very-sharp-out-of-the-box bayonet that mounts when needed. Loving life.

Just to let everyone know, the blade is very dull. Not a big deal, I used a little elbow grease on a knife sharpener and it was good to go. Also, it did not got on my AR since it has a 14.7" barrel making it too short for the bayonet, kinda bummed about that. However, it fits snug on my Mossberg 590A1!!!! All in all it's a good purchase!

Just received the bayonet and tried it on AR15. Fits perfectly, barrel ring and lug attachment fit like the real thing. I have a genuine issue m7 and there is no question it is a better bayonet. However, I am very please with this one fits right, looks right and I'm sure would perform right (perish the thought). ARs with carbine length handguards need an attachment to fit. This bayonet is adequate in every way.

This is NOT an AK bayonet. It is an AR bayonet facsimile. It is NOT mil spec. It is a light duty copy. It is easy to sharpen, and the barrel mount hole in the guard is a bit too tight for an A2 muzzle device. a few minutes of careful grinding with a Dremel will fix that. It is great for the money, because how often do you really think you will need a bayonet on your rifle? This is a nostalgia item, if you really want a no joke bayonet, pony up the big bucks for an M-9 mil spec set. This one works for me, I do like it as it may be light duty made in china, but the materials are good and the workmanship is very good. The sheath is plastic, so not as durable as metal, and it only has the LCE grommet clip for attaching to your web belt or gear. So you had better be able to sew if you use ALICE or MOLLE systems. For what it is, it's a 5 star bayonet.

I had recently had my unit test this bayonet for possible adoption. I had read the reviews of how they do not exactly fit an A2 flash hider etc. I was pleased to find that it fit my AR15 well right out of the box. The scabbard is made of plastic where as the original is made of fiberglass. I find that to be an improvement for durability. The nylon strapping that was attached had a broken snap. Easy fix for just over a dollar I got a package of snaps from Walmart's fabric department and fixed it in a matter of seconds. The blade is strong with a full tang. The handles are made of plastic. They seem like they are well made. When this bayonet is compared to an original M-7, the M-7 feels better in your hand. But using this on a bayonet course it has proven itself as reliable as the M-7. The blade keeps an edge very well. I would recommend this to anyone considering buying it for an AR/M series rifle. Since testing this bayonet I have adopted it for my militia unit. This bayonet is well worth well over the price they are asking.

Package arrived timely. Satisfied with all contents, I attempted to fix the bayonet to my Windham 20” govt. rifle and found that the barrel ring is ever-so-slightly too snug. It will fit if I force it, but it feels like that would be a permanent addition if I do. I will be attempting the Dremel tooling later today. Once the barrel ring is opened up a tiny bit this bayonet will do the job if it is ever needed. Just remember to aim for the soft parts. I would think this is meant for more of a thrust than it would be for a slash. I’m happy with it, but I am very easy to please. For the serious searcher, if you anticipate a true need for a long-term-use bayonet, shell out for Ontario.

I purchased this bayonet for my Mossberg 590 military shotgun with a bayonet lug. I had to use a rat-tail file to de-burr and smooth up the bayonet holding ring to fit on the end cap. This took only a few minutes and I used liquid bluing on the metal after I finished filing the ring. I also had to file away a section of the bayonet grip so that the grip cleared enough to lock on the shotgun bayonet lug. I used a flat file and then smoothed it down with sand paper to make it look look like it was made that way. That took about 30 minutes! The bayonet, after those two modifications, fit perfectly and looks like the real thing. The sheath has a metal clip that that holds the blade section but the entire section that houses the blade is plastic not metal. However, it does its job and I rated the purchase four stars because of the extra work I had to do to make the bayonet fit properly. If you have a Mossberg 590 military shotgun go for it. I got it just for show on 'free shipping' so the bayonet was definitely worth the money to me. If I were going to actually stick zombies I'd cough up the money for a true M-7, just saying.

So close a copy of the original US Army bayonet, it will fit in a military M8 and M8A1 knife sheath. Not a bad knife- not a bad price. Nice.

This is a replica of the M7 bayonet. I have an old gouged and scratched M7; I bought this to serve as a stand-in for it. Side by side this is a pretty good looking replica of the mil issue knife. If I could change one thing it would be to give the blade a matte finish to better resemble the parkerized finish on the M7. I had to open the ring a little to fit over an A2 flash suppressor and once that was done it fit 14.5" and 20" ARs perfectly. As long as you accept it for what it is, an inexpensive reproduction, I think it's worth at least four stars.

I bought this due to the reasonable price, $20 shipped! I read the reviews, and, no it will not fit an AK variant, it is an M7 clone for AR type rifles. If you can't recognize that, maybe you shouldn't own a bayonet in the first place. Regardless, Budk should fix the item description. I have an issued M7, and this copy is not nearly as good, but again, it was only $20. It took about 30 seconds with a Dremel to open up the ring to fit a standard A2 flash suppressor. It was 0.010" undersized (0.849" ring, flash hider was 0.859") Easy fix. The handle is plastic, as is the sheath. Makes a great display piece. Happy with the purchase, and will buy from Budk again!

This is actually modeled after the M7 Bayonet which is for the M16/M4 and was in use during the Vietnam war, I say this because I am looking at my actual M7 Bayonet that my dad got from his time in the military. I personally have not bought this particular knife, but this is to help those buying it for their AK47, like the person below me.

The knife came with a sheath with a broken snap which I had to fix - the knife came with a nice edge. I have a real M-7 bayonet from when I was in the service and this knife is a cheap version of it. It doesn't fit my S&W MP-15 because of the flash suppressor but it's a nice knife for any collection.
