I must say as my first purchase from Trueswords this far exceeds my expectations, not only was the shipping fast but it came in with no damage what so ever (not even the box!). First thing to mention is the sheath is okay, (Mines came in stiff and i had to wear it in before the kukri could slide in properly) its not much to worry about and it does its job but don't be rough with it which you should not be doing in the first place. The blade is incredibly sharp (cutting paper like butter) and durable, don't expect to be sharpening this often. The metal is tough and can take on any job/abuse you can give. The handle feels great whether wet or dry, and you will naturally use a hammer grip as this is specializing in chopping but don't worry about your grip slipping the pommel prevents it from flying out of your hand (be sure to wrap your wrist and use the hole in the handle for safety like a Wii controller). Overall this is an excellent purchase for the quality and i recommend getting it.

I bought this several weeks. The blade is good and so was the blade worth the money I spent on it. You should buy it you will not be disappointed!

I picked one of these up from a fair when i was 15 years old...I'm now 23 this blade sharpens well and has taken on anything i've thrown it at or cut with it..super durable blade and handle..the sheath is kinda lame but after 8 years of abuse it still holds up well, I'd recommend this Kukri to anyone looking to get a good quality blade!!

This kukri is mean! I can compare it to anything else I have and it comes on top. I went through a 2x4 one chop. (that is scary it came sharp enough to shave right out of the box. I LOVE IT!!!! You can always trust a KA-BAR to do its job

This thing is great, I had a forest of ocotillo cacti in my back yard, and lets just say it won't be returning. On a hunting trip in was charged by a javelina and I left my .45 in the truck, a quick sidestep and this amazing blade neutralized the threat quicker than that pig thought it was. The weight amplifies your chopping power by 600 percent. Great deal, legendary knife. (Mini Excalibur) immaculately constructed ka-bar. Well done, it even out shines some of my 200+ dollar blades

BEST TOOL ON THIS WEBSITE. PERIOD. I've spent tons of money on cheap knives and swords and non-sense. Well brother, this thing is no nononsense. This was my very first purchase (along w/ other things) from Trueswords. That was in '09. Since then I've roughly spent around $1100.00 on this site. And this is really the only knive I have left. It's sturdy, holds an edge when you'd think, man that thing's gotta be dull. It's prefect for trimming trees EVEN FIREWOOD. This this is built to last. Best tool i own. Learn has to use it. Great tool, great price. Thanks TrueSwords!

This is one of the best blades i have ever seen. I bought it about 6 months ago as I used to pick lots of mushrooms in Fl in very woodsy areas and have had wild boar run up on me. It came sharp, but is easy to make razor sharp. The Sheath is even incredible. I have taken down 2-3' dia pine trees with one smooth swipe. The thing is very durable, and is a bit on the heavy side. If it was still in stock id buy a backup

I've put this blade through many tests like cutting down small trees and chopping through 2x4s and plywood. I've even thrown this machete. Its very durable and dependable, a steal for $60. An excellent tool or weapon.

I love this knife, plain and simple. It is a good weight, dependable, holds an edge, came sharp right out of the box, and is a great addition to any bug out kit. A little disappointed it came from Taiwan, but whatever

I don't have many knives but I know bad craftsmanship when I see it. I was sold on this by the reviews and I recommend it myself. I've stripped and chopped up small fallen trees faster than I could have with an axe. The balance is great, the blade stays sharp, the sheath is good. Overall weight is nice. Made a lanyard with paracord. Will have this thing for many many years.

this is the most lethal thing you'll ever get. its weight and sharpness are incredible. its hair shaving sharp, literal bald spot on my arm now. id recommend it for any chopping what so ever and theoretical zombie protection. nice low low price thnx to trueswords

very very nice. i am very happy that i got this. it has perfect weight, great length. it's just awesome. i've been looking around for awhile for a kukri and this fit the bill. couldn't be happier.

This one is so good it's scary. Oh, and don't let it's size fool you, It's just as sharp as it's straight razor cousins. I know; I nicked myself accidentally when I first removed it from the sheath. Yikes!

Wow. Just. Wow. As an avid knife collector for ALL of my adult life, I was blown away by the performance of this blade. First things first, this thing is thick and heavy. It is ALMOST 0.25" thick, which is great by itself. Plus, it's obviously got the Kukri design, which by itself is a superior cutting shape and implementation. Then, add on the fact that it is VERY well balanced, weight-forward, and WIDE just before the tip, and you've got yourself a superior weapon.

This is a great knife. Fast delivery. I have put this thing through hell and its still going strong. Some of the paint has worn off from being used so much and the blade itself needs to be touched up every now and then but that comes with any knife. All in all if you are considering buying a kukri get this one well worth the fifty bucks.

I have always been a fan of Kukri; the design is a great balance of efficiency and elegance. This blade exceeded every expectation by far, I almost feel guilty having only paid short of $60. The structure is hella sturdy, the blade and sheath melt into one another, and, the edge and finish of the blade is of a quality only seen in much pricier items. Great buy for utility or show.

The best way that I can think to describe this is to say it is a freaking beast. As soon as I cleared the oil that was on the blade, I quickly cut down a small dead tree in my back yard (just a few hits and it was down). Afterwards, I discovered just how sharp its edge was while cleaning it off (I slipped and cut myself pretty bad; I applied pressure for quite awile and it still bled through my two bandages when I puet them on). Just knowing how much of a cut it made by barely hitting my finger allows me to safely say it is the sharpest thing I have ever owned. Wonderful product and I would recommend it to anyone who's needs some extra power in their yardwork or anyone planning a camping trip.

As seems to be the case with all their orders, Trueswords made a quick shipment and it arrived promptly.

The start things out quickly, I can honestly say I would trust this thing with my life.
The kukri came rather quickly, packaged nicely in a box with a thin amount of oil protecting the sharp edge of the blade from damage during shipping. Right out of the box it was sharp enough to cut through pretty much anything, I was and still am careful around the edge. I've cut myself numerous times cleaning it.
I can easily take down a large thigh sized tree down in a short amount of time, and then proceed to chopping it up into bits. If the need ever came, I could use the broad head to dig a hole. The only damage so far I've been able to do to the blade is chip the front end from when I was chopping a tree up on the ground, and I hit some rocks. It's not the part that matters however, so it is fine.
The only bad part of the kukri is the handle isn't as grippy as I would like, but a pair of work gloves with grips in the palm could fix that.
I recommend this blade completely. It will never let you down and for the price, is an exeptional blade.

I've had mine for 7 years and put it through a lot of extreme abuse. I'm starting to look at a replacement now, as the tip has broken off and there are chunks missing from the blade. Also, as others are saying, the sheathe falls apart quickly. This may sound like a negative review, but I am confident that no other blade could have chopped through countless trees, (I cut down many over 2 feet wide) dug trenches in clay, chipped rocks to better shapes, hammered in nails, and even broken through a small safe. It also does intended jobs like clearing trails through brush with ease. However, due to the heft behind this blade, fatigue sets in quicker for strictly trail clearance than using a lighter weighted machete. The grip is excellent, but you will still get nasty blisters if you don't use gloves during prolonged use. Overall, it has served me far beyond what I expected, and I will definitely be purchasing another one.

My side arm. I choose to carry a knife, and THIS KNIFE is my right hand. The scabbard is lose fitting and low end, so if you buy this knife you should also get it a scabbard it deserves. The knife is perfect for the price, even though it is made in Taiwan. The black finish makes this blade feel like the fang of Cerberus, and it handles well. If you need a chopper, cleaver or a slasher, this blade will serve you well for a hundred years. Therefore, this is a blade you will pass down from father to son and mother to daughter.

This kukhri is a beast.
Its a great piece of work.
The handle is very comfortable. It has a surface that will keep your grip firm. If your hand were to slip though, the edge on the pommel will catch your hand.
The blade surface is very sleek, smooth, and beautiful.
Mine didn't come as sharp as I'd expected, but it can still cut through paper like butter.
The extra weight on the fore-blade gives you that edge you need, and is very satisfying to use.

The sheath is incredibly mediocre. It's not a surprise, however. Most sheathes are like this.
I don't quite like how the belt latch makes the whole thing swivel back and forth when you walk, but you could probably fix that but putting something on the sheath that makes it hug against your leg.

Also, it takes awhile to get the blade back in the sheath.
One end is closed off, so it takes a bit coordination to get it in, which would be awkward in other circumstances. the first strap tends to get caught on the back of the blade when sheathing, which prevents you from sheathing all the way. Instead, you have to pull the snap-on button out and then continue to sheath. This is very tedious as it happens often for mine.

I was disappointed to see that the box that the sheathe and the kukhri came in was too short to fit the kukhri while it was in the sheath. This means i have to store the kukhri out of the box. ( I don't like throwing away the boxes )

However, all in all this kukhri is definitely bad ass.

Im giving it a 4/5, however Trueswords never fails to amaze.
