Mean little beast

"Was shocked at how short it is. But after spinning and thrusting awhile. It's a BEAST. Solidly built. Well balanced. Overall, a nasty, mean little Beast."

broken

"I bought this for myself and was great-threw it at pineapple an tree and works very well. but do not do what it is not designed for. My older son wanted to borrow it for a camping trip with himself and some buddies. Apparently this is not a axe because a overhead, downward thrust with two hands to cut threw a ham bone is to much for the handle it snapped off right below where the blade ends. I was very happy with the item, but use outside of its design can cause serious or death, if you are swing at a tree or pole and miss and hit the handle, which I did not know was able to just snap off under stress. Still loved the item, and trying to redesign into a knife or convert into a more sturdy spear handle."

I would only purchase this

"I would only purchase this as a display piece. The steel in the blade is crappy soft stainless (there is a reason it's so thick, it's because it's crap). I have seen the point bend 90 degrees just from throwing it into soft white pine. The shaft is very flexible and weak and seems prone to breaking. For any kind of survival task, this blade is a terrible choice. It would not reliably cut, chop or split, and it won't even make a spark on most ferro rods. As am offensive or defensive weapon against soft fleshy people, I suppose this would work a few times. But if this is for your silly zombie fantasy, think again, this blade will bend or break on the first try to split a skull. This is advertized as a breaching tool as well and frankly, I don't think this would survive the attempt unless your breaching a homeless guys cardboard shelter. What a TERRIBLE product. I did give it two stars because it IS pretty cool looking if you are a mall ninja (like most M48 products, they look good, but don't hold up to real use)."

Great spear. I love it.

"Great spear. I love it. Would like more length on the handle. 2 spears at this length single handed is quite a dangerous combo though."

ALL I CAN SAY IS ONE AWESOME SPEAR*****

"I HAVE PURCHASED MANY ITEMS FROM KENNESAW, AND SO FAR I LOVE THEM ALL 5 *****. THEN I ENTER THEIR DRAWING FOR THEIR M48 KOMMANDO TALON SURVIVAL SPEAR, AND TO MY SURPRISE I WON IT. AND I NEVER WIN ANYTHING, BUT I DID AND THEY WERE EVERY HELPFUL IN SENDING IT TO ME FREE OF CHARGE. ALL I CAN SAY IS THAT THIS IS ONE GREAT SPEAR BUT IT WOULD BE BETTER IF THE HANDLE WAS A LITTLE BIGGER AROUND AND ABOUT 18" LONGER. PS GREAT JOB GUYS."

Randell J. (5/5)

Not sharp

"Just my luck! From reading the other reviews I must have received the only one that missed getting sharpen at the factory. But other than that seems to be a pretty well made spear. I do wish that you could buy more handles of different lengths so you you custom set it up for whatever you needed it for at the time. Dan"

Excellent Survival Spear

"Very sturdily built, with an excellent defense blade."

Cory (5/5)

Very pleased

"It has a very solid feel to it, the tip is very sharp and a very capable weapon overall. I think this would be my go-to weapon if I was in a survival situation."

Brett B. (5/5)

Loving It

"The blade was twice a thick as I expected (made me very happy). It has great weight and will make for an amazing addition to my Zombie Hunter Pack. Even better, the lenth makes it managable in a hallway. I checked the price on United Cutlery web page and your have it for half the price. Thank you and keep up the good work!"

Jude (5/5)

Very good spear!

"I definitely like this spear. For those not wishing to own a firearm, this spear would make a better home-defense tool than a bat. I'm sure criminals would "get the point" about leaving you alone! United Cutlery also makes a M48 Kommando axe with similar dimensions to this spear. They need to combine the two into a walking stick/halberd with the same length as the spear! That would be amazing!"
