These are the best throwing knives for no spin throwing. I have a lot of different throwing knives and these are really great and my favorite small sized throwing knives from this site.

So I get this package in the mail faster than anything I've ordered online, with free shipping!!! Once I ripped open my gear I found exactly what I ordered. Great knives at the best price. The knives are smaller than I pictured but that is no problem, they come with a nice edge, they fit well in the hand. Finding the short distance I'm using now is easy and fun. Endless hours of relaxation and fun for less than $20.

My very first purchase from budk and what can I say, this is a great deal! These knives are small but do pack one heck of a punch for their size. The sheath could be a bit sturdier though, the knives can easily cut through them. So far that has happened to me hehe. I haven't bought a target from budk yet, so I practiced on some cardboard and then moved to my old dart board. Poor dart board haha. I've only used the first six knives to practice with, I'm saving the other six for when the time comes

Spent about 50 hrs spread over 3 mo. to learn a shuriken jutsu style no spin throw. I don't think this weapon is for anyone who isn't willing to take the time and effort to learn this skill which is required to make the darn things work properly. That said, aver several months practice I notice the deep penetrations I was getting into oak targets, so Ifr decided to give then the ham test. I clothed a 10 lb ham with a moving pad to simulate several layers of cloths. Next I winged 12 shots with these little gems and was very impressed with the results. Penetrations into the ham were

These knives are amazing. When I first got them and found my distance I became a pro. I learned how to throw the knives between the legs and backwards. Plus I was able to throw them 20 feet away and stick it into the wood every time. But You need to find your distance for the knives first and then go from their.

I love these knives. It's been a long time since I threw any knives and these are helping me get back into the groove quickly! Unfortunately I've already lost a few of them, but that's kinda par for the course with knives this small. I would recommend them to anyone beginning knife throwing or just trying out a new style.
Oct 03, 2013

I got a set of these a week ago, They were a little smaller than I expected but come really sharp and pointy! Perfect for throwing, they stick good and can take a lot. Plus really cheap for what you get.

I ordered these knives last month, and I couldn't be happier! the price is far below even what I would expect form Budk. The knives are well balanced and I only have two half-problems with them. 1. They magnatize to each other easily 2. They shouldn't be thrown more than six at a time; if they get too packed together, they may hit each other and damage themselves. The sheath isn't much, but it does its job. be careful when putting your knives away in it, they will stab right through the thin cloth on the outside of the sheath. I'm not really sure why it has such a huge belt loop, but whatever. All in all, a fair set of knives for a more-than-fair price. Buy one with your next paycheck!

This is a great kit, and I recommend it to all. Very sharp, got here fast, and are really quite durable. I thought this would be a rip off, but it is the exact opposite. A little light, but that's my only complaint. THANK YOU BUDK!!!
Apr 02, 2013

Not bad for $20!! These knives rock!! Solid construction. Been throwing at my wood (pine) target. They stick really well. They come plenty sharp right out of box. I think they are great for beginners and even the experienced thrower.
Mar 17, 2013

worth the money came sharp they dont nick as bad as most others stick good easy to sharpn thanks bud k...
Feb 28, 2013

Great knives, especially for just twenty dollars. Really good for a beginner and my style throwing. Slightly lighter than expected, but perfectly balanced with a sharp edge.
Nov 10, 2012

My first buy from Budk.I will probly buy from them again. The knives are great.Took my a couple of days to get get it to stick 9\12 times. My fist throwing knives and I love them.
Aug 18, 2012

I love these knives. I've had one set for several years and wound up buying another set since I liked them so much. While these are relatively inexpensive, I've found that the steel has enough durability to bend a bit rather than break. They are not toys for kids to play with. I like to use these for throwing close distances, even indoors with appropriate precautions. I own a number of full sized name brand sets of pro throwing knives and hawks. These small knives work great with softer targets (e.g., cardboard, the BUDK dartboard type targets and even soft wood cross sections (e.g., pine, cypress, etc.). If you are new to throwing, I'd suggest these as a low cost entry level set. I expect blades to get small dents in the edges and the like. That is to be expected. In most cases these nicks can be corrected with a bit of sharpening. This whole set weighs about the same as one big 12" pro throwing knife, so they don't wear you out with a lot of practice.
Jun 01, 2012

This is my first set of real throwing knives. I wasn't sure what to expect, but these things are great. Real good quality especially for the price probably going to order another set. Ive already thrown them a lot and they are still super sharp. The thing i like the best is there shape and weight they stick really good, take a little getting used to but im sticking about 7 out of 10. The tips are staying sharp after repeated use and abuse. I honestly have no complaints and would recommend to anyone.
Jun 01, 2012

You simply cannot go wrong with these knives at this price. They throw well, especially when using no-spin, Fedin-style throws. They do have a tendency to over-rotate when using the more traditional method, but it's nothing even a complete novice like myself couldn't get after a couple days of practice. They're also surprisingly durable for the price. Mine have been slammed and bounced off of everything under the sun, and all they have to show is a few small chips in the blades. Be careful when you get them brand new, though, they WILL cut you if they ricochet into you.
May 26, 2012

These are very VERY nice throwers, i would definitely recommend these for any intermediate, beginner, or advanced people at this. They are very sharp and they are very well balanced throwing knives so get 'em for my sake, think of the young throwers that just want to kill something more than anything in the world...
May 23, 2012

Haven't thrown in years and years. Got a dvd on no spin throw yesterday and these came today.
Apr 27, 2012

First, I just have to say WOW. These knives are amazing for the price. The second I got them I went out and warmed them up on some plywood. They take a while to get the distance right, but once you do, they're fantastic at close range. The quality is solid, though I did lose one, and one the tip of the blade broke off (Missed and hit concrete). But overall, VERY nice, would definitively recommend.
Apr 26, 2012

I love these things the case are amazing and the knives fly excellent. I would recomend these to anyone.
Apr 25, 2012

Not only did these knives come within five days but they came in perfect condition. I have just started throwing knives and I must say these make me look like a pro... sometimes.
Apr 02, 2012

These knives are great, they work very well for close range "no spin" throws and are awesome spinner's also. I didn't really expect them to be this good. I like the sheath a lot also, very clever way of putting 12 knives back in its sheath. Amazingly I was expecting them to bend or have chipped tips after a couple throws but I've been throwing them around all day, pretty hard if you ask me, and they'r still in perfect condition. Very very satisfied with these knives.
Nov 10, 2011

Great knives, love em. They chip, and are easy to lose in the grass but are amazingly smooth. If you are just starting out these would not be a good set, they are really easy to put too much spin.
Oct 03, 2011

I bought these a couple of months ago and they are still in great shape. I have my target over the cement and even when they bounce off of the cement they are in amazing shape. Little chips in the blades but the tips are perfect! Great buy for the value!
Jun 12, 2011

I have had these knives for a few months and they are still in great shape! They've held the edge and stick very well. Very satisfied with the purchase.
Dec 08, 2010

Great knives, I love them. Only problem I've had is after throwing them for awhile (several weeks) the blades dulled (not an issue) but also, the blades have began to chip. only little chips, they still stick great. Awesome beginner knives.
Aug 14, 2010

12 knives for $20? Not only that but good shape, easy throw, and nice edge. If you're into throwing knives, this is a fantastic set for practice or application.
Aug 13, 2010

Love these knives. Well balanced and great weight for their size. They are easy to over rotate though.
Jul 07, 2010

i just got these knives they are well worth the money i'm not very experienced thrower but right out of the box sharp and good balance, definitely going to be buying more in the future(maybe
Jun 30, 2010

i have had these knives for 1 day and i had 1 tip bend but that's it. the tips are easy to bend back. these are the best throwing knives i have had. they are easy to stick in wood. all in all they are wonderful knives.
Jun 26, 2010

The knives look great, are hard to throw but you learn to throw them. Also the tips bend easy but you can fix it. overall a great throwing knife.
Jun 11, 2010

Very nice set especially for the price. Amazing quality and great penetration on target. I will diffidently recommend to friends. Editor's Note: Thank you for your comments. We have updated the review to reflect the appropriate spelling.
May 23, 2010

These things r awesome!!! They spin a bit much, but they stick so easily into anything!!!!!!!! I just tapped the blade on my palm and i had gotten a deep cut, their a LITTLE harder to use ten i expected because of the spin, but you'll get used to it :). Also, if you hit the handle on something duck because it goes ricocheting at like 200 mph.
Apr 24, 2010

THE RIDGE RUNNERS SIX INCH ARE IDEAL FOR THE THROWING I DO. WE USE A TREE ROUND, 5 INCHES THICK. THE LARGER KNIVES ARE EASIER TO STICK, BUT THE RIDGE RUNNERS STICK WITHOUT TEARING UP THE BOARD. IN SIX MONTHS OF THROWING ONE TIP BROKE , ONE GOT LOST. SEVERAL WERE HARD TO FIND. I ALMOST GOT THE 7 INCHERS RIDGE RUNNERS,AND I AM CONSIDERING GETTING THE DIFFERENT SIX INCHERS TORNADOS RIDGE RUNNERS.
Apr 06, 2010

These knives are difficult for a beginner thrower due to their small size. it is very easy to put far too much spin on them. Otherwise they are perfectly balanced and when you do stick one with minimal effort into the throw they sink a good 1/2"-3/4" into particle board. I was surprised with the strength of these little knives. I hit a concrete wall with the tip of one and there was not even a nick on the blade and it was not bent at all. The only downside to these knives is they are really easy to lose due to their small size.
Jul 23, 2009

These are great knifes. Vey sharp and they are well balanced. good quality and great price. The are great for beginners!
Apr 22, 2009

Very nice for what you pay for. the whole package was smaller than expected, but the knives are great. The throw great and are made of some pretty nice steel.

When its all bundled up, its hard to describe it, other than really cool and very convenient.

A great purchase and a must have for any knife-thrower.

Jun 26, 2013

These are WAY better than the other 12 set that Ridge Runner offers. These do not break in half very often, are nice and sharp, and will stick more often than the other set. These are great for beginners. I've probably thrown each knife of this set at least 500 times, and most of them are still like new (a few of them bent/broke). A good buy for the money!
Apr 29, 2013

Great deal 12 knives for 20$. I thought it was to good to be true but they are really not that bad! A little small and light but no problem they're great for practice. Nice sheath it is pretty compact. I am sticking about 10 out of 12. Good for beginners or someone who wants more practice, even great for indoor throwing. The best part is you can do more throwing less walking. You wont see a deal like this in many places. I'm yet to be disapointed with BudK!
Apr 25, 2013

Good Knives. Throws relatively well; but like any knife you have to have no wind to be accurate. This is a good, inexpensive set for a first timer. If your a beginner, they will probably get damage while practicing, that's why I like these: Cheap, well made, and comes with plenty practice knives. Get good with these, then move on to a better quality knife throwing set.

Jun 07, 2012

I really loved getting this. The pouch is excellent and the knives are great as well.. could maybe use a little sharpening but other then that they are well balanced and excellent to throw!
Apr 17, 2012

Alright so I bought this set because I love weapons and this was one of the first things that caught my eye. I'm a complete novice when it comes to throwing knives so I read all the reviews and saw some videos. Seems legit I said. I ordered them and then a week later they came in with several other stuff. They came out of the box pretty dam sharp. I threw them for about an hour or two nothing bad really. A couple more throwing sessions and the tip gets bent slightly but easily fixed and a kink on some blades that can be fixed easily. I dont think this is really for beginners because i'm having a hard time throwing these things but that could just be me lol. Either way, I give these blades a 4/5 because they are sharp, easy to repair minor dents, moderately durable and price.
May 28, 2011

Good set for the price. I just started using throwing knives, always used axes as a kid. For a beginner, I'm not sure if I'd say they are easy ( I throw at 18 ft), it's been hard for me I think because they are so small. I bought a Kuhkri by Cold Steel on here and I actually throw that thing better! Will keep practicing and probably buy a nicer, bigger set on here think that might help.
Nov 03, 2010

Nice set, easy to throw even for beginners. Only problem I had was 2 of my tips broke the first time I used them. And the tips bend easily.
Sep 21, 2010

This is one of my first purchases with Trueswords. I must say that these are some nice throwing knives. A set of 12 is a good deal. When I got it today, I noticed that they were smaller than I first thought. Still, these are good quality beginner throwing knives. Not bad for the price. They are rather sharp too. I believe these will last me a while. Even if they dull up, sharpening it does not look too hard. Buy it! I think it's worth it for beginners.
Aug 30, 2010

These are not the best throwing knives, but for the price and for how many you get, they get a good rating. They are pretty sharp and stick good in my pine wood target. Had them for about a month now, and I say I threw each one about 100 times now. I'm amazed that none of the tips have bent yet. Only thing I don't like about them is the size, but it looks like ridge runner has another 12 set that's bigger if you would like that instead. Overall this is a good buy if your looking to try knife throwing or just need a bunch of cheap small decent throwing knives.
May 31, 2013

My friend recently bought a set of these and I have to say I was decently impressed. Usually I dont throw knives under 9 inches as I like the weight and length, however these work great for no spin throws. In fact we made up a target, painted 6 red and 6 blue and played a round of darts with them. I stuck em every time. they fly true. Wouldnt recommend them for spin throws, they are just too light. Warning to those who dont like a knife in their shin, these are sharp and when they bounce off they can come right back at you at high speed due to their light weight!! All I can say is im glad I throw with boots. :P
Mar 27, 2013

thought bud.k was quick getting them hear they throw rather good but not the best . i wood let friends no were i got them . they were very sharp
Apr 01, 2012

Not very good for throwing in the wind. They are more of an inside thrower due to its light weight. The sheath isn't very durable, the knives go right through it with ease.
Mar 24, 2012

When you get the knives, they come very very sharp. I haven't had any problems with them dulling yet. The only thing that needs to be sharp on a throwing knife is the tip, but on these the whole thing is sharp. These knives are so light that they are very very hard to stick into wood. You have to throw it as hard as you can and you'll have about a 2/10 chance, and when you throw it hard you can't make the knife fly smooth, it will be doing barrel rolls and back flips and 360s and all kinds of crazy stuff.
Oct 10, 2010

nice knives in my opinion but when i reseved them at least 8 of them had small chips in them and the case for them is weak i mest up a littel when i put it in and it poked straghit throw but i still like them
Sep 15, 2010

I was a little let down when I opened these up. The knives are puny, so small and lightweight that it is very difficult to throw them any real distance.

Practice-wise they are mediocre, and in a defence situation, laughable. The handles are too small and narrow to grip for close combat, and because of their extreme lightness, would be nearly impossible to throw into someone with enough force to penetrate.

Now on the positive side,
They are extremely sharp, I cut myself fairly badly while getting the packaging off. The steel is very attractive and has a nice bounce to it, and because of their dimunitive size, I can (somewhat) safely use them indoors on a dart board, which is nice when I feel like throwing at night.

Overall, a 5.5/10
Jun 19, 2010

These are decent throwers for a beginner like myself. The tips are durable but the blade edge is a little soft ,so you might wind up with some rough edges. Nothing a good old Soft Arkansas sharpening stone cannot take care of.
Sep 11, 2011

I purchased these knifes based on all of the great reviews...little did I know that on the first day, 3 tips would just break clean off! These blades are way too thin and break to easily. I suggest going with a more durable set if you are really serious about knife throwing.
