Feels good in the hand

"Solid, good-looking knife. Weight-forward with POB about 1. 25" ahead of the guard. Seems like solid construction, but the tang is only ~9/16" where it enters the guard. The transition appears to be 90 degrees from blade to tang and that is a recipe for failure with a lot of heavy chopping. At less than $30, it's a nice looking knife, but wouldn't be my choice for a survival blade. The hooked guard and hooked pommel designs are very good for protecting the hand and for blade retention if doing and butchering or chopping."

Massive knife...

"Another fine TR knife. It feels great in the hand and the finish on mine is nearly flawless. A few passes on the stone rendered it very sharp. It should be impossible to get a knife this nice and substantial for merely $10 but Kennesaw often has some impossible-to-resist great deals. Even at $15 it is a steal."

Solid Knife

"when I first ordered this knife, from the picture I thought it was basically the big Green Bowie(got one of those too)with a bone handle. Boy was I wrong, the handles are similar in style, but the blade is a little longer and a lot thicker. I think the blade thickness is about 1/4" thick, same as my western outlaw bowie, where the big green's blade is about 3/8" thick. the knife is of course heavier. If you have a big green bowie and like it, you'll love this!!"
