The V-42 was designed in part by the Commanding Officer of the First Special Service Force, The Devil's Bridgade; Lt. Colonel Robert T. Frederick. The knife was designed and constructed with the sole purpose of battle in mind. This knife was the trademark weapon of the Devil's Brigade, and its members were trained extensively in the use of the V-42. Our historically accurate replica features a stacked leather handle like the original, as to be easily handled in cold weather. Each dagger offers a razor-sharp, double-edged stiletto blade that pierces through even tough materials with ease. Thumb notches are cast into the handle above the guard to keep the knife from slipping when wet or wearing gloves.

V 42 Stiletto

"I received the dagger today and and it is AWESOME!!! It is very sharp out of the box and much bigger than it looks. The blade seems very tight and is well balanced. Sheath looks and feels like real leather but I'm sure its not. It has a nice firm fit in the sheath and doesn't fall out by itself. It took 10 days to arrive but it was worth it!!!"

V42 Military Dagger

"The V42 looks very good. Is only a fair knife out of the box. But the price is amazing for the quality. The down side is the weak handle and ill-fitting sheath. The handle spins because it rotates around the rat tail tang. The handle is held on by the pommel which treads are shallow and strip out easily. The REMEDY is to use JB weld on the tang to weld the handle and pommel in place. The sheath can be sewn with hemp cord closer to the blade making tight to hold the knife in place. Now the V42 is a GREAT solid high quality true military knife. Recommend to buy. Perfect design, weight, handle length and balance."
